Gee, we certainly did it the hard way. Leeds unlucky to get nothing from that game.

Am I the only one thinking that Gabriel's decision making is pretty poor and if we could find a better CB to partner Saliba, Gab should be third choice?

Only seen the highlights which were 90% Leeds highlights lol.

Amazing finish from Saka.

Terrible pen by Bamford.

Gabriel LOL. I assume when the pen was overturned his red was too or does it stand?

Good to see Liverpool win too :p

It was downgraded from a red to a yellow card.

God, what a game... don't know how many times I'll have to watch it before it makes sense. First time this season where I felt we lost our legs. Feel for Leeds, they played well and deserved something. Couldn't win a duel in the second half. Everytime we got a foot in a tackle, it would bounce straight to them. Thankful the football gods are smiling on us.

I wonder if Jesus is right. Very subdued.

Not sure how we won but we did and four points clear at the top!

Loving the VAR luck.

- Ramsdale brilliant, probably Arsenal's best player today. Pivotal in key moments and earned his clean sheet. He seems to revel in games like this when the crowd is getting stuck into him a bit, he dishes it too as well and had that look about him that he wasn't going to be beaten. Without him, Arsenal not just drop points but also likely lose this one.

- I reckon that trip to Bodo really took it out of a few, more than what we can tell from afar. Close to the Artic circle, much colder conditions and on a plastic/artificial surface that seems heavier on the legs. Many of them looked sapped. Saliba unusually a bit sloppy at times too.

- Saka in superb goal scoring touch. Has had an excellent week and I often forget he's still only 21. If and Martinelli keep adding this type of end product to their game, wow. You'd need to spend 150m+ to acquire that kind of quality on the wings.

- Gabriel needs to get that rash stuff out of his game. Got quite lucky today that it was overturned. However why does he even need to kick out like that in that situation, Ramsdale has the ball covered, he's been bowled over, the closing minutes of the match. Just keep your shit together and see the job through. He needs to eliminate this stuff as he will only get targetted more so and start to earn a reputation with the referees etc (which can be a difficult tag to shake off - just ask Xhaka).

- Jesus copped a battering against Liverpool and I thought at the time he should have come off sooner than he did last week. Glad he was left out of the Bodo trip however still didn't seem himself and clearly not 100% (Leeds also deserve credit for nullifying him as they did). He should've scored that chance he had. Hope he's not involved against PSV and Nketiah can play the 90 there.

- I ****ing love a good celebration not just in scoring a goal, but avoiding one as well. The scenes with the missed penalty, I have a weird fascination with this kind of stuff. I love those moments. Ramsdale ****ing loved it too. I celebrated the Bruno miss at The Emirates back in April like we'd scored ourselves. For whatever reason this moments stay with me for a long time, I still remember the Szczesny double save at Anfield around a decade ago and the scenes with him and Vermaelen straight after, love it.

- Said it before, Leeds really deserved something from this game. A draw at the minimum. On the balance of play in the second half and the chances they produced, if Arsenal lost that I couldn't really have too many complaints. That disallowed goal was a bit soft I'd say.

- It was a classic case of digging deep, showing resiliance and winning ugly. Even the Invincibles would grind out unpretty wins like that to bank the 3 points and move on. 9 wins from 10 matches. Top of the league with a little 4 point gap at the top and 11 points on 5th. Yes please Arsenal. Yes please.

Was saying this last week. He's the one I'm always nervous that he'll do something stupid. I don't mind a bit of stirring but the kicking out etc just becomes stupid and it's going to start backfiring eventually.

That stuff regularly cost Arsenal in recent years - with the likes of Mustafi, Luiz and Xhaka only a moment of madness away. 2 of the 3 have been exited and Xhaka has evolved considerably, we don't need Gabriel to then fill that void.

I recall images of Henry during the glory days pointing to his temples, calming others around him and telling them to maintain their composure. Full circle now, it was Xhaka himself who took control this morning ably helped by the likes of Holding etc.

Positives- First half I thought it was pretty good by both teams. Enjoyable to watch with both teams playing in the right manner at a high tempo. Some of our combination passing looked fantastic also, Ødegaard and Saka hugely influential. Found a way to somehow win the game despite playing so poorly in the 2nd half, always a trait of good teams getting results not only when playing well but when playing poorly also.

Negatives - Second half was certainly the worst I’ve seen us play all year, I hope these halves are few and far between as you need to ride a lot of luck to get away with it ( which thankfully we had). Leeds were fantastic with the high press, winning it back in great areas to get good field position. We just couldn’t string passes together to get field position nor could we break through the press to create a counter attacking threat.

But all in all most of our year has been sublime, we’re 9 wins from 10 in the league, found a way to win again and are sitting 4 points on top of the ****ing league. I’m sure as hell enjoying riding this wave and tired Monday’s at work are feeling well worth it for the first time in a long time.

Will likely be a strong-ish XI again. Aside from Turner, Nketiah and Holding starting, and perhaps Marquinhos/Nelson. Quite an important match in the context of the group.
