If we secure some silverware this season then Rice would be in the conversation for the Ballon d'Or IMO. Maybe I'm biased, but he is that good.

Best midfielder in the Premier League quite comfortably at the moment, and seriously in the conversation for best in the world.

Said it before but this guy needs the armband next season.

He’s added set pieces to his game, and now hitting the scoreboard with goals. Whatever Arsenal do or don’t do this season will be closely aligned with him. Phenomenal.

Excellent closing few minutes. Sucked the life out of the match and I don’t recall a shot Bournemouth took after they scored their 2nd.

Big win. Lost both games against this last season so there’s another 3 point turnaround from corresponding fixtures from last season.

Easily. Can't believe Chelsea fans considered Caicedo better. Suspended again and will miss the Man City game unfortunately

Is there a better midfielder in the world than Rice? Bloody exceptional.

Madueke was excellent in setting up the first. That run and dribble was outstanding, thankfully Gabi could atone for his error, not sure what he was doing. Bizarre.

Did anybody notice how long it took Bournemouth fans to get back to their seats after half time? You'd think they'd want to see every second playing the team on top of the table.

Martin getting back to his best. The pass for Rice was perfect. Nice to be able to bring on Saka too. No Eze again though, that's 4 PL games now with nothing.

What's important is right now have a 6 point buffer. If City manage to drop points it will be huge, I doubt they do but stranger things have happened. I'd say City bring it back to four, but we'll see.

Have to win the Champions League or World Cup with England to even have a sniff of winning it.

It will go to some PSG/Barca/R.Madrid stat padder otherwise.

Another away win at a ground we lost points at last year.

Opens up a 6 point gap, now we need Chelsea to fondle Man City.

Big big home game up next against Liverpool.
The Liverpool game is huge. Thankfully it's at home, and given the difference in form, I'd really hope we can roll them over. Need to be targeting their full backs.

Reckon England are a fair shout for the World Cup now that they have a proper manager. Their squad is excellent.

Ødegaard is getting back to his best form.

Rice, what can you say? £115 was a bargain.

A midfielf three of Ødegaard, Rice and Zubimendi has the perfect blend of everything.

On a side note - should we be worried about Eze seeing no game time recently?

I read a stat that Odegaard has equaled Vieira with his assist this morning. He’s in fine company. In brilliant form lately and his pass into Saka to set up Rice’s second was lovely.

Won’t get an assist for that but completely split them apart to create the space for Rice to float into. Some beautiful team goals this morning from the set piece merchants :D

No concern re: Eze. His time will come. They’ll all have their moments with the ridiculous schedule of football in the next 6 weeks. This week provides a rare 5 days off before Liverpool however after that it’s essentially every 3 days until mid February.
