Clubs need depth, especially if you want to challenge on all fronts.

We have the EL too so that will allow more opportunity for others to play too.

Yeah having him would be great, he is quality and it just creates a good kind of problem to have.

But right now our midfield depth is putrid, I'm baffled that this doesn't seem to be the urgent priority.

Might work out well. If he plays well, his fee may go up a tad and drum some interest up.

His contract is due to expire in 2024 I believe, so next summer he’d be into his last 12 months at Arsenal. Perhaps there could be a nominal fee for whichever club may be interested.

For now though, I think he would greatly benefit being back in France and playing every week, and not always being measured by that fee Arsenal paid to acquire his services.

Supurb footballer, would've loved him at Arsenal. Emery also wanted a new centre half, the club signed Saliba and loaned him out and essentially told Emery to make do with Mustafi and Sokratis etc.

As much as that disjointed period sucked for Arsenal and Emery, it seems very much that the club has learned from those mistakes and we now benefit from a much more cohesive, collaborative leadership/ownership that backs their manager to the hilt.

I do feel sorry for Pepe, that price tag was a monster weight around his neck. Never a terrible player just didn't become the worldie we needed him to be.

Wish him all the best on loan. Hopefully he has a great season and we can recoup a little bit of that fee end of the season when we sell him to our sister club

With Pepe out and sounds around AMN going too I'd expect to see at least one more player come in before the window shuts.

Pepe, AMN and Bellerin out, our listed first team squad (as per arsenal.com) drops to 23. Marquinhos is u'21, which brings the squad down to 22. Conceivably, we have scope for 3 more signings.

Yes I think at least one more. Whether Neto or not, the club appears to have the resources to sign someone another winger. Now that Pepe is out, I think it happens.
