City v Bayern in the CL tie with Real or Chelsea looming after that. Plus FA Cup to balance. Quite the contrast in the run in for the two clubs. With Arsenal just with 11 league fixtures to come.

Rather frustrating how poor we were in the EL this season, stings we went out in the Round of 16 and haven't won it in our 5 attempts last 6 seasons.

On the bright side we just play once on the weekend on the run in, with City at the Etihad or only midweek match.

Tomiyasu looks serious, thinking Saliba will be minor, hopefully that's the case anyways as Holding is dogshit and we can't afford him playing.

Amazed Saka is still going, shit kicked out of him on a weekly basis. Saliba going off straight away is concerning. I have faith in Holding.

Ideally, sliding Ben White to CB to cover Saliba if he was to miss would be the move. But with Tomi also getting injured, it does leave us with Holding instead, with White staying at right back.

Or, swap Zinchenko to RB, and have him play the inverted role from there, and Tierney joins Gabriel and White in a back three... don't know, might mess us up a bit.

Crystal Palace are probably a good team for Holding to come in for. Their strikers haven't been threatening for a couple of months now. I thought Holding was good against Sporting and I thought he handled Haaland well in the FA Cup loss to City.

Shame we lost to Sporting, but the congestion in an already jam packed fixture list is something that isn't the worst thing to avoid. Goncalves' goal was marvelous and I don't think Ramsdale could have done much to prevent it in all honesty.

I think the character and mentality in the squad is good enough to not let the loss affect them either.

As for the discussion around RB. I think while White is not a conventional FB, he has done well there. Elite FBs are a rare commodity to find these days and have been for quite some time. White is too good to be sitting on the bench IMO - though I suspect he would still play plenty of games.

As for Tierney at LB or - God Forbid - CB, it's a big no from me.

Honestly, I think you really need to look more closely at how Arteta sets his team up. It is White’s presence at right back that allows Arsenal to fall back into a back three without that ball, and allow ourselves to use Zinchenko as an extra midfielder.

A “proper” right back would completely upset the balance of the team, just as proper left back KT has no roll to play in the current system.

White has been fantastic this season, has adjusted to that position really well. Clearly has Arteta’s trust and delivers what Arteta wants in this systems. Will also add he, Odegaard and Saka are excellent together in that right corridor of the pitch. They just click.
