I've looked at a bunch of the Chelsea Mudryk PR stuff. I haven't seen him genuinely smile in a single photo. Seen a couple of forced half smiles, and that's it.
De Zerbi says he's a sensitive soul, needs lots of L&A. I can't shake the feeling that he'll last a maximum of 3 years at Chelsea, and I doubt it will be that long tbh.
Yes it seemed a very muted unveiling, not the kind of fanfare that would usually be associated with a signing of this size. I have little doubt that he reluctantly accepted their offer on the basis of more favourable terms to his wage and to Shakthar. I reckon a bit of spite involved too with Shakthar, that Arsenal's offer (as strong as it was) didn't meet their demands, plus Chelsea have offered their president a friendly in Donetsk when its safe to do so. Mudryk's agents also get a better commission package. He was clearly set on Arsenal from that interview with Zinchenko's wife a few months ago.
