I've looked at a bunch of the Chelsea Mudryk PR stuff. I haven't seen him genuinely smile in a single photo. Seen a couple of forced half smiles, and that's it.

De Zerbi says he's a sensitive soul, needs lots of L&A. I can't shake the feeling that he'll last a maximum of 3 years at Chelsea, and I doubt it will be that long tbh.

Yes it seemed a very muted unveiling, not the kind of fanfare that would usually be associated with a signing of this size. I have little doubt that he reluctantly accepted their offer on the basis of more favourable terms to his wage and to Shakthar. I reckon a bit of spite involved too with Shakthar, that Arsenal's offer (as strong as it was) didn't meet their demands, plus Chelsea have offered their president a friendly in Donetsk when its safe to do so. Mudryk's agents also get a better commission package. He was clearly set on Arsenal from that interview with Zinchenko's wife a few months ago.

Hopefully we move for Raphael Leao, who has also made comments about admiring Arsenal. He's more proven than Mudryk too and has a contract running down.

Please please PLEASE be the move in the works.

Yes that's handy. He also wasn't there when Arsenal lost to United a few months ago.

The Emirates however is becoming quite a difficult place to come to now, with the atmosphere etc. Looking forward to it.

I'm a bit concerned that possible sellers will know we're desperate. We're right in the title fight, and any idiot who knows anything about football knows that our greatest current weakness is our thin squad. If I'm selling to Arsenal right now, it's at a premium.

We are most certainly desperate. KSE need to realise that we may never be in this position again, we need to capitalise and learn from previous failures - this has bit us on the arse multiple times now (title chase and top four chase).

Losing Mudryk was a huge blow IMO. We can't afford to not push on with someone else. Open up your wallets Kreonke - he could be the first owner to have a NFL, NHL and EPL team win the title in the same period. Their NBA side (Nuggets) are also in the hunt too.

Oh man, give it a rinse.

You're carrying on like we have been relegated.

Don’t get the sense there’s any convincing of KSE to spend. Their support is pretty evident, the financial facilities are there for Arsenal to utilise.

The funds are available. The issue is though as aforementioned, we’ve shown our hand with how much we’re willing to spend and whatever business we’re looking to go is going to come with a premium.

Unprecedented position. LMAO. Just shut the **** up. Youngest team in the league and are only going to get better.

Seems after losing out on Mudryk we were likely to go down this kind of route, and to be honest it makes sense.
As previously stated by another poster above, teams may sense we're desperate which will lead to not just overpaying, but wasting time (which could mean no one or a panic buy)
I am fine with this signing, get that bigger name in that position if required next season.
Still would like a good rotation/cover option for Partey.

You never know what's going to happen in the future, you are naive if you think we will keep on cruising simply because we have a young side.

Did you think we'd go on to dominate after going undefeated in 03/04? I did. We had the best player, the best winger, best fullback and the best midfielder in the league all either entering or in their primes. Fast forward and we haven't won since.

City will respond after this season. You can bet they will be active, so personally I'd rather we capitalise on our chance now, as we may never be in this position again.

Yeah end of 03/04 if you told me we wouldn't win the league again and it's now 22/23 I would of told ya to bugger off and laughed...

Well .. Im not laughing now.

Troussard is handy... I'm pretty sure we have big plans come transfers end of season (doesn't help us ATM) but I expect Rice or someone like that to come in.

I feel like if we sign Trossard he would be completely relegated to a depth option come next season. Hopefully we are looking at Leao or someone of that calibre (along with Rice or Tielemans).

Maybe we could loan him? Might be a player we are stuck with that we can't shift in 2 years time. Though if he comes in and plays his role then that's a good issue to have down the line.

Could be a Wiltord kind of player for us.
