Gabriel was about £16m I recall? Might be wrong.

Wonder if Chambers is given a run this weekend alongside Koscielny. Last game of the season, why not.

Around £35m I think City paid for him. Huge fee for a centre half. It was ridiculously bad defending, how you can lose your man in such a position right in front of goal. It was a gift that thankfully, this time, Giroud took.

With KDB's goal, it just needed someone to take him down. Even if you cop a yellow card for a professional foul, you gotta stop him charging towards goal like that. Perhaps Gabriel should have or Bellerin.
I think Gabriel did well because he was holding him up. It's the other two who let him drift inside so easily. I can't really fault Bellerin for the intial header either. He won it, but it just bounced off KDB's head.

Whatever the exact figure, he's the most expensive defender in English football history.

I'd much prefer paying £11 for that ******* shit for brains Gabriel - the same quantity of gash at almost 1/4 the price!
£11?

Bit harsh.

Walcott is approaching Adebayor at Spurs level of shitness. £140k a week = £5.6mil in wages this season alone. Staggeringly inept list management by our club, and not for the first time.

We're better off doing a Poch - freezing him out of the squad and letting him leave for peanuts. Failing to flog Walcott off at the first offer would be an insanely incompetent decision.

Mangala was a terrible piece of business. You can see where Gabriel will improve. Can't see the same thing in Mangala.

His wages would be a significant barrier to his sale. If we do sell, the club would likely have to subsidise part of his wage.

Would be great if we could offload him somewhere this summer.

His wages won't be too much of a problem. If sold wherever he lands will own his sponsorship rights which would be 40k a week or thereabouts, which with the new TV money mid table clubs can afford to pay their better players 100k a week.

Yeah, shouldn't be too much of an issue.

But if we need to cop paying 20-30k a week of his wages, so be it. He and some of his similarly flakey teammates are cancerous to this club. We should adhere to almost any request - whatever it takes to seal his transfer.

Welbeck out for 3-5 months, according to an initial report on goal.com

Add the "little bit minor setback" to that and he's looking at spending the rest of 2016 on the sidelines. Devastating.

Edit: Come December, he'll be like a new signing tho

eh he's a walking injury waiting to happen. I don't think he's ever played a full season without being injured?

Don't know why this is surprising.

His injury record at United was actually pretty good to be honest, it was when he signed for us this shit started to happen mostly.

Not surprising really, just another kick in the guts. It's the hope/potential that kills you.

Well he played more games at United, reached around 40 in all comps for 3 consecutive seasons before he joined us, that site you got that off lists 2 day injuries the same as 9 month ones so its a bit miss leading to be honest.
