Really no difference between 2nd and 3rd. Coming 2nd would do nothing for those of us who want the club to change the way it operates. A result against Villa and 3rd is sealed + automatic UCL qualification.

Would've affected which UCL pot we'll go into, wouldn't it?

I wouldn't be too fussed about the Sanchez murmurings. One thing we know about this guy is he is a perfectionist and he's been far down on his output from last season and the start of this season after his layoff. I wouldn't be surprised if all of this so called discourse was within himself.

I'd expect to see both he and Ozil running about in an Arsenal jersey in a few months time.

Exactly.

The way the tabloids can engineer a headline or story from some basic, generic comments is amazing.

An Arsenal transfer is usually a lot more dramatic than it needs to be though.

Let's not be foolish and think that buying these world class players means that things are fixed. Players need to adapt and form chemistry too so even if Wenger finally does buy what we need, it won't necessarily fix things.

Most world class players don't need time to adapt given they would have already spent time in one of the top three leagues in the world. Hell you could argue most world class players come from either Barca, Real or Bayern.

Take Gotze for instance, he already has a understanding with Ozil, is use to a similar system from his time at both Dortmund and Bayern and is familiar with the pace and toughness of the league from his time playing in the bundesliga and champions league.

I'm not saying they won't adapt, just that it doesn't always equate to getting what you paid for. Benzena could be worse than Giroud for all we know.

We need Wenger to buy what we need so it leaves the next manager in a better position, I've conceded we are never winning the league under Wenger again.
