Random question - whatever happened to Bielik?

I see his name sometimes in the reserves but might be due for a loan.
Has been playing well for the U21s from what I've read. Not sure what the signing of Xhaka would do for his chances but I think they have been grooming him as a CB as well.

Is there not a chance that players will flop? It's happened numerous times before. Everyone was on Ozils back in the first season so it's not impossible to think it may happen with others.
So what's your point besides "players we acquire might flop"? It's something we all know - players might not live up to their price tag or supporter expectations. But the only thing that point reinforces is that we need to go for big money, established signings instead of Elneny-type speculative purchases (he worked, but others at that price won't).

It doesn't change the fact that doing hectic shit this transfer window is a non-negotiable for us.

Everyone seems to think that it's the only way we are going to get better but I'm just saying even if Wenger does, it's not always gonna pay off. Wenger will probably get blamed if he signs Benzema and he flops for example, that's just the negativity of Arsenal fans. It just doesn't seem like everyone sees it that way.

I'm not saying don't sign players but make sure they fit into the squad. We don't need to spend all that cash for a good player. Look at Leicester. Mahrez has won player of the season and cost under a million pounds.

Playing CB for the U21's and by all reports finished the season very strongly.

With regard to our other youngsters:

Jon Toral won players player of the season, fans player of the season and goal of the season for his time spent at Birmingham. Personally think he would make a good squad player as he so smart and has decent skills.

Reiss Nelson is currently top scorer of the U17 euros (including qualification). Only recently turned 16 but wouldn't surprise me to see him involved in preseason and make the bench for carling cup games next season.

Chris Wilock continues to get better and better. Really starting to take over and will no doubt be involved in the preseason tour and potentially get regular first team opportunities next season.

IIRC Toral was a huge prospect Barcelona starlet signing spoken of in similar terms to Fabregas. That looks like a great season on loan, our guys don't usually impact their loan club like that so that's exciting for him... should get a chance to crack the side next season.

Bellerin was signed at the same time. He was a better prospect I think.

Bellerin obviously the better of the two but also blessed by being more of a specialist in a position we were shown to be lacking and one he wasn't fighting too many for (and I mean that with no slight on him).

Toral, I hope, will end up a fantastic bench player next season and fingers crossed have a Coquelin type boost towards the end.

Bellerin was a wide midfielder or forward when at Barca.

I think our wires are crossed. I'm talking about the time both have spent at Arsenal. Bellerin was pretty quickly earmarked as a RB and he took to it beautifully. Toral is more of a central player with less scope to have adapted elsewhere and is obviously faced with more opposition.

Walcott, who is the club's longest-serving player after celebrating his 10-year anniversary this season, has been linked with a move away from the Emirates this summer after falling out of the starting lineup in recent months. But Wenger insisted he is confident that the forward will stay. "I think he will be here, yes," Wenger said.
Go **** yourself you senile campaigner. This typical Wenger bullshit makes me sick.

**** me, the ONLY reason he should be here is because no one else will take him.
http://www.espnfc.com/arsenal/story...e-positive-surprise-for-england-arsene-wenger

I think he should go. He has gone through a bad spell, yes it's true. After the Man United game [in February] he had a difficult period. But in the last months he has come back very strong, and worked extremely hard in training. I think he could be a positive surprise for England."
This nightmare surely has to end soon. Not even Hodgson is stupid enough to take Walcott you messed up old sack of poo.

Toral was the more hyped prospect but those you had watched the two said Bellerin was more likely to make it. Which doesn't make a heap of sense but Toral is half english (english mother) and coming from Barca was hyped as the next Fabregas thus the added hype.

I could not remember which one had the bigger reputation. Toral was always going to find it harder though due to Arsenal having 50 guys in his position.

Mangala was a terrible piece of business. You can see where Gabriel will improve. Can't see the same thing in Mangala.
I can.

You might be surprised (I was) but our record when Mangala starts is better than anyone else in the team.

He makes the odd cockup per game but in a lot of cases that is down to the ridiculous lack of support all our defenders are given.
