Cazorla is done and dusted I reckon. Arsenal has an obsession of putting up photos of a new signing decked out in the full kit etc in conjunction with the official announcement on arsenal.com. Perhaps that's why these things tend to take a little while longer, to organise the photo shoots (which you'd think has already been done for our man santi). Announcement in next 24 hours I feel!

Photos were taken last friday.

same time as his medical it sounds like. perhaps there is a camera set up and a dark room at the back off the doctor's office....pass your medical, get changed into the kit, take photos, seal the deal....

now to hopefully secure sahin on loan, and this would be one of the best summer's work in the transfer market for quite some time for the club.

bendtner's sale looks likely to generate approx 7-8m pounds

rumour this evening that galatassary have bid 4m+ for arshavin

squillaci/park might gain approx 2-3m each? give or take. plus we save a sh*tload from the (ridiculous) wages they're on.

remains to be seen about RvP. reports are we wont sell for anything less than 25m.

regardless, as have said before, if we also sign sahin this would have to classify as a very successful window irrespective of van persie staying or going (obviously if he stays, that's the icing on the cake but we've brought in attacking talent to offset his potential loss)

Surely Wenger can't be happy with Gibbs/Santos at LB but there seems to be no decent LB's linked to you guys at all. Baffling.

Big supporter of Kieran Gibbs right here. Santos is good for morale and the bench, but happy to persist with Gibbs.

wenger is a massive fan of gibbs, i cant see him offloading gibbs anytime soon. the problem is that he's made of glass, so he'll likely miss a number of games throughout the season. is santos good enough cover? not sure, he actually isn't that good a defender and seems more a natural fit as a left flanker (which is where he played a few times late last season with gibbs behind him at LB)

Santos has played as a winger this pre season so its possible that we could be looking for a new one. I wouldnt mind debuchy though his a right back, i would put sagna to left back, played very good against undinese there last year. Other then baines there isn't many good left backs available.

sagna is too good a RB to be shifted across. yes he defend on the left but we would lose his final ball from the right flank, his crossing from his left foot is much weaker. but hey whatever keeps djourou out of the side is fine by me.

We will not buy a LB. Gibbs/Santos are not terrible.

Our defensive tactics is a bigger problem. We could have the best back 4 in the world and they'd still leak goals with the way we play.

Still think we really need a new LB, ours are mediocre compared to the other top clubs LB's.
Anyone been tearing it up in preseason matches or training? Haven't heard much.
