Making him captain probably will make him actually world class, scores 20 odd this season and then leaves to City, Utd or Barca.
What else do you think we are going to do in the window? If Song goes, surely we will replace him? I understand the reasons we may not replace RvP, but I reckon next season we probably will end up needing to. I just don't see Podolski and Giroud being 20 a year type players. Maybe 20 between them but we need someone that can get 20 on their own.
Got proven wrong last season but that was because RvP ran riot and now he's gone - who's turn is it to step up?

Few people still need to be sold as well I think. Any word in Squillaci, Chamakh etc?
One more injury to Diaby and I hope we let him go, he's never been that great, he's not exactly young and hes injury prone. Release him or whatever. I'd be happy if we did it now but I am sure Wenger will give him another go.

if it wasnt for the ridiculous wages we're paying them mundy, they'd already be sold now. still pretty sure squillaci will find a new home, probably get perhaps 2m pounds for him? i hate to say though but i dont think chamakh is going anywhere. amongst the top earners at the club and recently he spoke about his desire to 'prove himself' at arsenal etc etc.

park will likely be sold (one of the worst purchases in wenger's history). and bendtner will likely be sold soon (ac milan rumours still persist, always makes me chuckle)

im making a number of assumptions here, but here is a rough outline of our dealings so far (i may have some figures wrong though):

cazorla - 15 million
giroud - 12 million

total - ~41million

OUT:

Judas van Persie - 24 million
vela - 3 million (?)

total - ~27 million

ON WAY OUT (transfer fees estimated):

bendtner - 8 million (?)
squillaci - 2 million (?)
park chu young - 2 million(?)

total additional sales - ~12 million

so overall, our net spend could actually be close to neutral. but we'll save a sh*tload in wages in offloading the likes of squillaci, bendtner etc

diaby has managed to stay fit so far this pre season, incredible. like a fresh new signing indeed.

Im not sure if you guys will agree but i like what Wenger has done this off season. He has brought in 3 quality players with Cazorla who I think will be the best buy in the premier league and he has got rid or is getting rid of the players who don't want to play for the badge. Seems to have gone in with attitude that if you don't want to be here you can piss off. Im also sure that there will be at least one more buy, hopefully one being Sahin and the other a full back.

Heres hoping that the players don't get caught up in the RVP/Song drama and are focused for the Sunderland game and we can get a comfortable win and go and challenge for some silverware this season .

Bartley has gone to Swansea permanently for 1 mil. With jenkinson being linked with a loan move there. We are rumoured to be interested in Angel Rangel who plays right back for them, so I could see this happening.

AFC ADMEN has said that wilshere is doing well in rehab and will wear number 10 this year, and that walcott is close to signing a four year contract.

Song nearly gone for 19m. Doesn't make sense really. Does Wenger actually wanna keep his prized players or does he just like the idea of buying them cheap, making them stars and selling them. I don't think he even cares too much about winning, just "getting the job done" as in getting a top 4 spot. Who is gonna play the defensive midfield role? I know Song was exactly the greatest at it (more creative skill than defensive) but better than anyone else we have at the moment.

If that's the case, get the best price possible and get rid of him quick smart.
