Martinez from Porto has been linked but I doubt it happens.

How do you think we will go against Newcastle. They have been on a good run but only Chelsea is an impressive win and they did lose to a mediocre Swansea.

Not sure how well win go against Newcastle. I think Giroud has to start with it being an away game and Newcastle play a long ball game, and I don't trust Bendtner to put in the shift required. He can rest vs Cardiff. Podolski can play another 20 minutes and I hope to see a Flamini - Wilshere midfield partnership though I think it will be Flamini and Arteta. Important we score early.

Newcastle are unpredictable. Our games in recent seasons are generally pretty tight. Will never forget when Carroll's goal pipped us at the emirates a few seasons ago. I'm tipping 2-1 for us.

Any news on Koscielny? I read there's an outside chance he could play tomorrow. Perhaps more likely Cardiff.

This team v newcastle pls Wenger:

Szez
Sagna Mert Kos/Verm Gibbo
Flamini
Wilsh Cazorla
Walcott Giroud Poldi

Have been desperately missing proper width this season, two true wide players would allow the fullbacks to sit back a bit more against dangerous Ben Arfa/Remy and get bombard Giroud with quality crosses

he has only really played as a CF at Cologne when they didn't really have any better options, always been more of a left sided attacker for big teams (Bayern/Germany), last season the combo of him and Gibbs on the left was responsible for plenty of assists, his cross for Walcott's 2nd goal against whu shows his quality as a wide player

I think it will be responsible for Giroud's return to goalscoring form, without width on both sides teams have been able to condense their defence and he hasn't had space in the middle, now that the opposition full backs will have someone to worry about on each flank he will have a much better time of it.

Would be willing to place a hefty bet that Giroud scores tonight from a cross courtesy of either theo/poldi or an overlapping gibbs/sagna

Santi had his best game for the season against West Ham, starting on the left and then buzzing across the pitch. I'd be loathe to replace him for the Newcastle game. However we looked damn good when Podolski came on. I think tomorrow is a good chance for Giroud to have a breather and Podolski to centre forward.

Ozil can perhaps sit out vs Cardiff with Santi or Rosicky central.

We looked better when Podolski came on because he likes playing wide left. All of Ramsey, Santi, Wilshere and Ozil when played left like to come inside, which can clog things up, and often exposes Gibbs to both a right wing and a marauding rightback with nothing better to do and limits his ability to get forward and cross as often as we want. We've missed the Ox for the same reason, when he plays left he stays left.

Rossicky will stay left too when Wenger asks him, but he doesn't really have any pace anymore.

Should have taken your advice. Scrappy game so far. That seemed the most likely way a goal was going to be scored.

Ozil will miss up to Spurs I think. Dont know on Gibbs.

Can anyone explain to me why we pass back to Wojciech so much when he is not that good at kicking the ball.
