Need another creative midfielder. Dzagoev fits the bill, would probably command a starting role though.

Need to get rid of The Crab, Almunia is gone 100% as his contract expires at the end of June, I think the same goes for Squilacci. That's already 100k give or take gone on wages alone. Bendtner's good Euro form is encouraging, hopefully ups his price. Hopefully the Djourou rumours linking him with Napoli come to fruition.

However if these players go, they may need to be replaced for depth purposes. Hopefully Bartley sees some first team action after his spell at Rangers, direct replacement for Djourou there.

As mundy mentioned though, do need a better LB, won't happen though.

10m euros are the reported numbers. incredible, that would be a massive win for us. throw in chamakh, a pizza and a frogurt, and we'd still come out on top

agreed we need a better LB, but there are other areas in the squad that would rank higher as a priority IMO, a creative midfielder is required as you've said.

Bartley was terrible for rangers though he played right back so that may have been the reason.



Why does it matter if RVP doesn't score 37 goals again if it means he scores 15 and gets 20 assist, giroud scores 15 and poldolski scores 15 too. Then you have the likes of walcott and gervinho getting similar numbers to what they got last season. And if you read what i said, you would have seen that i had RVP playing centrally in a CAM type role. Also out song,wilshere,M'Villa and arteta. Song is the most creative so i would pick him before the others.

LOL at Song being more creative than Arteta. Arteta is our second most important player after RvP. He is a genuine playmaker who has extremely good vision and very good passing ability. Song plays the Hollywood ball far too often and it doesn't always pay off. Yes, he created a fair amount of goals this season, but I don't think he's our most creative player.

I'd have him equal alongside TV in terms of importance (behind RvP), but yes who would've thought he would be that important to us last season when we scrambled a deal for him on transfer deadline day. only managed to win 1 league game without him, against wigan in the last game and even that win we benefited significantly by one of the worst displays of goalkeeping I've seen

Koscielny is better than Vermaelen. After Arteta, Sagna is next most.

Sorry defiantly can't agree on arteta being more creative then song. Yes arteta is good at retaining possession but his final ball is not better then songs. Stats prove this.

On the RVP argument i agree that RVP is the best out of the three when played centrally but his also the best out of three when played wide. And i can't see giroud playing out wide and i can't see wenger paying €13m on him to be a bench player.

I felt that Arteta had to play a deeper role than usual. I reckon we'll see him get more assists next season. Very important player.
We really need our wingers scoring more. Will be nice to have some defensive stability as well next season but you know with us, that's not the case. Always a damn injury. Sagna is out for the start of the season isn't he? Do people still feel we need a Vieira type in the midfield? It looks like we won't be getting M'Vila.

Would be stoked if we got 10m for Djourou but I bet he won't leave. He should though, Napoli are a good side and he'd probably start.

maybe im being too optimistic here, but i disagree with this. to me, chamakh, park, bendtner, vela etc are all on the way out and naturally we need to replace our squad of forwards.

Hopefully that is the case but don't see us paying 13 mil for a backup player (unless Giroud can play wide). That is fairly close to our transfer record sadly enough.

I am a member on another forum and there is a guy there who says he knows somebody at Arsenal and every time a name has popped up he has confirmed they will sign, and he has been spot on every time too, he's saying Giroud and M'Vila are nearly done.
