Arsenal is having a press conference today about commercial dealings, it is expected that the press conference will be to announce Adidas as our new apparel sponsor. 30 million a year is the figure being rumoured plus add ons apparently.

New deal with Emirates in 150 mil for 5 years which is good but they have naming rights for an extra 7 years which now ends in 2028. An average deal in fairness #GazidizOUT.

Danger game for us today. We tend to struggle with players like Benteke so we have to come out strong and put the game to bed in the first 20 minutes as the longer the game drags on the more chance they score. They also have some good wingers who can put in some good crossers but their defence is shit and hopefully Guzan has a mare.

Prediction: 1-3 though that may change when i see the line up.

Everytime we travel away to a mid table team is a danger game for us.

I hope we put out the same line up as we did mid week for the montpellier game. keep the ox on the right and let him go at it for an hour or so, can bring on gervinho etc in the 2nd half if need be. im curious though as to what wenger does at LB now that gibbs is back in the squad

I can't see why he'd want to change the back four. Gibbs can't cross nor defend too well and makes poor Podolski play as an extra full back!

I think Sagna will not play both games this week and in that case I would play Jenkinson tonight. Wilshere would be doubtful for both games as well.

If jack does sit out a game soon, would be better to play ox deep next to arteta. Ramsey has been tried there countless times and sadly isn't up to it. He shouldn't start anymore. Santi has had a very heavy workload but again it's not like we have a lot of options to step in, with rosicky still injured.

Scoreless draw. Sounded like a pretty flat game, yet to watch the game but will do so later this morning. From all reports Cheney made a good save late on to keep out Holman.

that was painful to sit through the entire replay. villa have been rubbish of late and we couldnt even score. the "we we tired" excuse is frankly getting tiresome.

the club acts like we're the only ones who play 2-3 times a week. and the reason players (such as santi) are tired is because we have a paper thin squad and refuse to purchase depth. instead we stick with injury prone players who are trumpeted like 'having a new signing' until they breakdown again a fortnight later.

at this rate, we're going to burn cazorla out by xmas

the pressure really must be getting to wenger now, for him to come out so strongly like that is unusual but perhaps a sign of the times. replacing giroud with le coq when we're trying to win a game late on really is a bizarre move.

we have 13 players good enough for the Premier League at the moment. If Giroud, Arteta or Cazorla get a serious injury we could end up around tenth in the league.

I know how frustrated we all are at not taking maximum points at Villa but please understand that football players are human beings, not robots; machines.

The team we put out on the park contained 9 current full internationals and Arteta who is magnificent nonetheless. We had 5 internationals on our bench and it's only a matter of time before Coquelin joins them in having that honour.

Sagna and Wilshere have only just come back from serious injuries and if you were ever going to give them a rest, it would have been against one of the bottom sides which Aston Villa are.

The team that was on the park yesterday was good enough to beat anyone in the league but they just looked very flat: Montpellier 3 days ago made sure of that. The French team didn't sit back and try and absorb the pressure, they pressured Arsenal every minute of the game and the gunners had to work overtime to overcome them.

Why is it that Man.Utd have an extra day to recover and Man.City plus Chelsea an extra 2 days?

Clean sheet is excellent, performance average.

I wonder what some of you may say if Wishere and Sagna were to suffer injuries again because they were played when they were obviously exhausted? It's when players are in that condition that they succumb to injuries more often than not.

No other manager would come out with excuses like Wenger. Every top tier club has games mid week. And even if United, Chelsea, City etc didn't have the extra days rest, they have adequate squad depth to cope with it. They also would have played on the Wednesday in the last set of games.

So;
