Squillaci

In all seriousness, glad we are resting the likes of santi, arteta etc. Can clearly see they've lost their mojo the last few weeks. Not sure they can automatically regain it by sitting out a match, but hey its a start at least. Hoping to see guys like miquel, gnabry get some game time.

Wonder if rosicky is fit enough to start.
Unfortunately both Miquel and Gnabry are injured and to be fair the only youth player who is a standout is Akpom and maybe meade who played some minutes as a sub against reading, the rest are the more average youth players as the more talented players don't qualify for champions league. Thats why there is no Eisfield as well as a couple of others like Toral and Bellerin(Barca boys).

Hopefully this is the last game that Chamack and Squailaci play for us.

Standard. Even when there's a prime opportunity to play some of our reserves players, they're injured

Oh well. We're already through which is great. To be honest I know very little about a number of the youngsters listed in the squad, hopefully there is a left back amongst them (assuming we go with jenko, TV & squillaci  at the back)

Would have been a good opportunity to throw Eisfeld into the mix as well.

I think Gnabry's injury is only short term but I'm not sure about Miquel he got stretched off last week so he maybe long term.

Meade is a left back and Angha plays their occasionally for the under 21's but meade is certainly better and more suited to the position. Only problem with Meade is his 5 foot 6 and isn't very fast otherwise I think he would be talked up more then he is. His got a couple of goals and a number of assist for the 21's so his good going forward. I think he will be starting at left back tomorrow.

Here's his cameo from against reading:

Monterio, Angha(right back and left back) and hajrovic are centre backs who are prone to errors and I can't see any of them making it unless they improve quite a bit. But you never know they may come good but I doubt we will see them go on to be good players.

Then their is Akpom and Ansah with Akpom being one of the more talented players in our youth ranks and I think his the leading scorer for the under 21's and next gen(youth champions league) despite only recently turning 17, he plays for england under 19's as well and has scored 2 or 3 goals for them in three games. Ansah only just returned from injury after being out for eight months, his a striker but can also play midfield. I don't expect much from him though as their is probably 10+ players in the ranks who are better then him.

Highlights of Akpom and others in this video.

My main problem with Arsenal boils down to one player, gervinho. From day one I have wondered what this little prick actually brings to the table. If you want to talk about players not fit to wear the shirt then you would have to start with this bloke. Done my head in from day one.

Its not just Gervinho, Giroud is also a spud. He wouldn't get in any top team challenging for titles. Santi Cazorla is good, better than what they had but still not in the Spain starting 11. His goal assist stats are average, you need the best to get in the best teams. Podolski is obviously rubbish. Arteta is good but never been a world beater, squad needs a real overhaul. Wenger had built a mid table team.

Yep. And he's starting again as we speak

Why the hell does Wenger persist with this bloke?!

1. Giroud is no spud. Obviously he's no RvP, but then again there is only one RvP. Giroud is the first genuine aerial threat we've had in many many years, however its not his fault the service he gets has been woeful. On the rare occasions we've played to his strengths (mostly thanks to good crosses from Theo) we've seen how good he can be.

2. You sound like not getting into Spain's team is some sort of measurement or reflection that you're not a good player? Santi has 30-40 caps if I'm not mistaken, he played both their qualifiers only a month or two ago. Oh, and there's also the fact that the current Spain team is one of the greatest and most successful in history.

And there's also the fact that he competes in the midfield with some players such as say xavi, iniesta, silva, villa and fabregas. When people list their top half dozen midfielders in the world, you quite often see the above names listed....

3. Podolski is not playing to his potential, clearly he (like Theo) wants to play central however he too is probably dismayed as to why pussyvinho gets a crack up there but not himself.

Aaron Ramsey. As long as this bloke is playing for the club, we'll always be mid table.

Take what I say with a grain of salt though, as I actually don't think Chamak is completely useless. At least we got him on a free.

It was funny watching Meade standing alongside Wojech at the beginning of the match.

Rosicky having a crack.

Welcome back tomas! Ironically from a nice assist from pussyvinho

Yes chamakh was on a free but he's one of the highest paid players at the club - so is arshavin. Surely this would have been a time to play arshavin, ramsey has had enough chances.

This pussyvinho name is ridiculous.

Not shocked to see we lost.
Well his real name is gervais yao kouassi, however he's chosen to give himself the brazillian style name gervinho. He's a pussy, so in the spirit of his adopted name, he now becomes pussyvinho.

It is quite an apt name actually.
