It's obvious Wenger took Rosicky off to protect him. Either that or he was feeling sore at HT.

I can see Jack Wilshere getting down and dirty in the trenches this weekend. I reckon he'll score. If he plays, take whatever odds you can get on Wilshere to score lads :thumbsu:

with theo and podolski out tonight, we should go with a front three of the ox, santi & rosicky in behind giroud.

but what we'll likely see is wenger's ridiculous experiment of ramsey on a flank continue, with pussyvinho on the other.

Much needed win. Best part about was seeing some passion from the players and Jack dominated.

How many clean sheets have we got so far this season? In that regard we are doing a lot better then what we were last season.

Nice to be back on the winners list. Arteta's penalties were well taken down the middle (we go 2 penalties in a game, wtf!?)

Clear dive though from santi for the first. There was no contact.

The midfield worked much better as a unit and another clean sheet which is a positive.

Yep, Jack m.o.t.m, how bloody good is he ? A few more goals from him would complete the package. Definite captain after Tommy.

Jack was immense. Should've scored scored too after a cut back, but terrific overall. We missed some straight forward goals though, (podolski late on!) but thankfully didnt cost us

Yeah, Wilshere was excellent tonight (this morning). He focused on the ball this game whereas he had a bee in his bonnet last time out.

This is a very important win for us because it will give the team heaps of impetuous going into the next five games which are eminently winnable before we play Man.City and Chelsea.

Maximum points (13 minimum) will put us in a very good position.

The problem is with arsenal these days is that we lose/draw the games that should be 'winnable', depending which team turns out on the park. This morning was such a contrast in terms of intent, body language etc etc than what we saw a week ago vs Swansea. If we bring that attitude to the pitch in the coming games then yes we should be taking points and closing the gap on the top 4-6.

Could not agree more with everything you mentioned.

Unfortunately, what I meant by "...put us in a very good position." was not that we would be able to close the gap on the top 4 but rather, by getting maximum points, or close to it, we would avoid relegation!

Rumours are that Walcott might be leaving?

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2245246/Theo-Walcott-close-Arsenal-exit.html

I think he has a lot yet to prove and if sold to another club, would thrive. There has to be a reason as to why he hasn't agreed terms to a new contract yet. Just sign the darn thing!

NEED to clean out the shit in January- Chamakh, Squillaci, Arshavin, Santos & Djourou.

Knowing the stubborn pricks in charge of this club, they'll all probably stay.. and we will sell Walcott, in order to make a 'profit'. Such crap.

we've needed to do this for 18 months, along with denilson, bendter, park etc. but the ridiculous wages we pay them have prevented their sales, no other club would piss their money down the drain like we do. the first 3 you mentioned are amongst our highest paid players at the club, but have contributed SFA to our results thus far.

Me thinks that Walcott isn't signing on because he wants to play as a center forward and is sulking 'cause the boss wont play him there.

Get as much as we can for him this transfer window otherwise, he'll walk for free I believe and if that happens, it's just plain bad management/business.

walcott is arguably in career best form, we need to keep him. but if he's going to walk on a free, then the club usually cashes in on these situations. can understand why theo would be pissed off at seeing pussyvinho get a number of cracks up front instead of him.
