Wish we had Giroud to bring on in those last 10 minutes, at least he works hard up top unlike Theo who for me was our worst player despite winning the penalty. Cazorla needs to improve his positioning in defence leaves way to many gaps.

*sorry for carrying on about Theo.

Wigan are a good side and should be safe this season
Martinez should be coaching chelsea and stay there he's one of the best managers in the premier league easily
2nd half was more subdued lucky to get away with the three points I felt Wigan deserved a draw at least we were lucky but I would chalk that up as a man. utd win bit of bullshit
ox was good and should start most games :thumbsu:

Also if that Stam dude could pass the ball properly would be a great player

The people who have the #WengerOut banner apparently had it out again today and the away fans didnt like it and belted them.

This is the banner from the reading game.

Lucky win, dire performance.

We were lucky not to be down at half time. There was no urgency from any of our players bar Jack. Defence was horrendous, thought Sagna had a very poor game. He would either give it away or pass it backwards. Don't have quick enough centre backs to be playing a high line, only a high should be played when Kos is in the side and is the covering defender as he has the pace to recover.

Wigan were horrible in the final third and their delivery is amongst the worst I have seen. We were pretty shocking too. Walcott was anonymous, as was Podolski. Barely noticed Arteta or Santi. Ox had a better second half than first.

Wouldn't have been surprised if we collapsed in the last 10 minutes. Old Arsenal sides would have won this by two or three goals. This is what happens when you don't buy quality players.

Was staggered at that too windy. He gets a token yellow card at the end after about 6-7 rough challenges. Ridiculous. Anyway we did get the rub of the green from the ref overall, so won't complain further.

Overall, it was one of those games where we take the 3 points and run. Wasn't anything in our generals play to really get excited about, too many players were flat. Podolski, Santi were anonymous, the conditions didn't really suit theo's game but having said that he didn't really work hard to get into the game. We needed a bloke like giroud in te second half, who with his body frame could have held the ball up better and won some challenges. Gibbs was awful, out of position constantly. Anyway, very happy to win and get up to 3rd (albeit with help from other results).

Plenty of work to do in the coming games. That defensive high line is flirting with danger, a good team will tear shreds through that. Need to get kos back into the mix, rosicky fit will be great to give Santi some cover. Ox is progressing well, definetley prefer him to keep starting ahead of an out of position Ramsey on the right.

FFS.

We won the ****ing game. You're entitled to a whinge but not after every result - win, lose or draw.

Just shut the **** up already.

Where do people think theo's best position is? Yes he can be very hot and cold on the flank, but has only had 2 games central so far.

Depends on the opposition and the conditions. Should play through the middle against teams that play a high line, on the wing against teams who sit back , where we can go to plan b and have Giroud up top with crosses into him.

He should play wide does not have the skill or vision to play centrally. I did not see the Reading game but against teams that press like Wigan he is not good enough to play centrally and he cannot lay off balls for other players.

I would not be suprised to see him frozen out again if the Ox keeps playing well out wide and he refuses to sign a new contract.
