I nice kick in the balls to MSM and a little triumph to the powers of social media.

They won by popular vote, what more do you want? If more people didn't want these people in, then they wouldn't have won.Two Hird sycophants, great...

Special thank you to @The_Red_Sash, @ScooterMcNeice & everyone who helped spread the word. I really appreciate all your support.
Instead of simply being sycophantic maybe they are ensuring that the board speaks for supporters rather than the AFL. This result would be a difficult one to swallow for the AFL who must surely be frustrated by the fact that the one thing that their media-controlled agenda cannot manipulate is the power of the member's voice within a club's constitution. Two Hird sycophants, great...

And surprise, both these were Bomberblitz supported candidates who ran campaigns on the site with the help of moderators.
You look at some of the candidates and then see we've elected two nobodies backed by a bunch of knuckle draggers. God help us.
Monumental day. Feel very proud to be a Bomber.
I love the AFL conspiracy angle so many have given in to. Yes guys you really saved us here, pat yourselves on the back.
To sum up her position on the board and the work it has done (Judging by her BTV interview):
I don't mean to bash the poor lady too much, but it's all I could think of when she spoke about them.
There's a thread a Blitz where you can ask her questions. Read through it. You'll get all the info you need direct from the source.Maybe you can be the one who sheds some light on any details of what Cathy plans to do?

But Cathy spoke pretty damn highly of the way the board has handled everything so far? Would that not suggest she was happy in the way they have toed the AFL line?
I thought he won by "preferential vote" ?She won by 18 votes, yes the majority won out but people can still have their reservations/be disappointed. Tony Abbott won by 'popular vote'.. Yet we still whinge and question it.
Anyway, anyone able to shed more light on the "Youthful/Member views" that she is going to try and bring in... Does that mean she wants to scrap the automatic opt-out donation? Or anything else in particular?
The only positive she mentioned that I remember was in relation to the efforts by the current board to 'navigate' the recent issues with integrity. Even then she diplomatically qualified this by saying that the board had allowed the story to get away from them. I think that there is a genuine concern with how most of the current board and Evans allowed the story to begin. But Cathy spoke pretty damn highly of the way the board has handled everything so far? Only 2 candidates who understood the core supporter base.
Only people to blame are the other candidates who misread the situation and don't seem to have a clue how modern networks work.

Considering what we're going through and the importance of the board team moving forward I do find this an amazingly piss-poor voter turn-out.Actually I blame the thousands upon thousands of our members who even after the last two years, couldn't be farked voting online in a board election.
