It's shaken his whole faith in life and the world. I heard he's going to become a monk.
BRISBANE ruckman Matthew Leuenberger says he never contemplated leaving the Lions and has vowed to become a significantly better player. Leuenberger has re-signed with Brisbane for another two years along with midfielder Dayne Zorko, who today inked a three-year extension.
At his best, Leuenberger is one of the best ruckman in the AFL and attracted interest from both WA clubs and GWS before he agreed to terms with Brisbane. Injury has hampered much of his career since being drafted at pick No.4 in 2006 but the 25-year-old said he was keen to stay at the Gabba in the long-term and enjoy some good times with the club’s emerging talent.
“I was pretty keen to get it (contract negotiations) over and done with quite quickly,’’ he said. “I like the idea of being a one-club player.

Hold in there John, it might just be the evolution of the fish rotting from the head. The failure of the media to get this one right has left my faith in humanity in tatters.

I wonder what Jay Clark is thinking now he was so sure Luey was going to GWS.
BRISBANE faces a battle to re-sign tall midfielder Patrick Karnezis after securing gun ruckman Matthew Leuenberger to a new contract.
Karnezis, from Oakleigh, has indicated his desire to return home to Victoria after three years in Brisbane.
The 21-year-old, who was selected with the 25th pick in the 2010 national draft, was one of the most improved players of the NAB Cup but failed to carry that form into the regular season.
Or a recent photograph of Karny. What Clarkey lacks in talent he more than makes up for in predictability.
Brisbane Lions face difficult challenge to keep Patrick Karnezis
I wouldn't bother clicking through to that article if you're expecting any more info about Patty or, yanno, quotes or anything zany like that.
When you are in desperate need of player agents feeding you inside info you'll print anything to keep them on side.
Well with any luck you'll be able to change up your avatar again pretty soon.Contract talks with Pat's management have already begun and are progressing as well as could be hoped. That's from a very reliable source. He was really dirty on himself for his last senior match against Collingwood, and doesn't feel like he's being unfairly treated by the coaching staff up here at all. I'm more than a little optimistic about him sticking around.

Absolute joke. Jay Clark has lost all credibility with me and I'm sure most people. First he says Leuy is just about gone with no proper evidence. Now he says Karnezis is gone... Once again with no real evidence. Disappointing to see any journo do this. I would expect this from people on BigFooty who are fishing around with no real evidence, but for that to be put a newspaper is quite poor for the CM.
