Uploading Digi Cam Pics

Need some help uploading digital camera pics to my pc. My pc is in Japanese which doesn`t help, but it used to work so I must have done something wrong the other day.

I have a Fuji FinePix 50i and I re-installed the cd to my pc thinking that I lost the USB driver. That didn`t help though. When I connect the camera to the pc it doesn`t recognize the connection as it used to.

It works on my old pc (no internet connection though) so I guess I need to do something so the pc recognises my camera or external port? Help...........

Dingster, if you're running Windows XP, it has a wizard that will make life easy for you. If you have a different OS, then you'd better find an interpretor.

I have XP. What`s the next step? I`ve tried a couple of things and failed miserably.

Try right-clicking on My Computer, select manage, click on device manager and see if you can find the camera driver on the right (it should be plugged in at this point). If it has a question mark on it, or a red slesh on it, right click on it and choose to uninstall it. Then reboot and try reinstalling it.

Cheers Jim Boy. That did the trick. After rebooting it did all the work for me which was handy as I was just guessing with the Japanese commands! Thanks again.
