After yesterday's results looks like the Demons might in for an ordinary year, looking at the team sheet what's happened to the Hanson boys, Spinks and Ladgrove? Expected a far closer result or are Feds recruits that good?

I thought Ohlin would go well for Feds, kicked a bag full. Maybe too early to rule out the Demons, might have a better indication after the first few rounds. Feds look to have the goods though.

Well, what a start to round one:

Toecutter. I think you were the closest pick, with Cudgy to beat Corryong, although it was more than 70 points!!, where are the Corryong recruits? Are the Demons going to be the ladder dwellers in 2015 or are Cudgie just that much better?

So maybe Feds are not as good as previously thought, given that Walwa only lost by one goal, looks like the Magpies are recruiting well and by the look on the clearances, they have a few more in the wind. As we all said last year, they will get some wins this year, who knows they could be the surprise package of the comp. Did anyone see the game, Ohlin didn't kick a goal, who played on him?

Tumba played well up until half time and the new recruits are fitting in well, with the local boys, I expect big things from Crozier and Ronney this year. Chopper, you were right about the Carey brothers and if they both can remain un-injured they will boost Tumba's finals chances.

Bullioh came back well and in if there had of been a few more minutes, they would have won. I am sure that the Tumba coaches will concentrate on that aspect this week. Keep your eye on Elio Doria who has just signed with Tumba from the Northern Football League, from all reports he goes well. Will have to wait and see for my-self on that one. Any other news out of round one?

The Coach of Walwa has a very good record at the caper and I can see them improving off the bottom and maybe reaching the
Finals. Things dont look good for last years runners-up. The players dont seem fit and they havent recruited any runners , the players
which they lost were paramount to their success last year , real pity they couldnt keep them. They desperately need a good mobile
ruckman , the Barny guys will be good but they cant be expected to carry all the workload especially when they arnt getting first use,
they are re-active players not proactive .

Cant see Corryong winning a game on yesterdays performance .There seems to be no leadership at all.
They are playing social football, all they want to do is socialise after the game, the winning culture has gone.

Bullioh by 50 over Corryong
Cudgewa by 40 over an improving Walwa

Tips for this week
Tumba playing walwa on there home ground could go either way. For tumba to win they need to put 4qts of good footy together. There first half against bullioh was really good their second half was ordinary second to the ball and some bad decision making. They must get the ball in quickly to Ben Carey and his younger brother. I think walwa have surprised everyone in their first two games and can see them winning maybe at least 4/5 games maybe more If sides underestimate them..Tumba by 25pts
Feds play Corryong I don't think the margin will be like Anzac game but corryong player's need to get behind each other if they are going to make any sort of impact on the score board. Feds by 6gls
Game of the round Bullioh/Cudgie for bullioh to win they will need to match cudgies running players. The quality of cudgies local young players will see them come away with the win.cudgie by 28pts

Looks like be careful what you wish for, Reidy copped a bagging on this forum last year yet he brought plenty of success to their club after it was a basket case only a couple of years before. He go's and a dozen players leave, it can't all be a coincidence.
Tips for the weekend
Tumba by 20 points
Feds by 90
Bullioh by 5 in an upset
