Sure are Mort. It will be interesting to follow along again. I heard a few Corryong locals that are playing tdfl are coming back to the demons.

As per the articles in the BM around Christmas.. sounds like bullioh and Cudgewa will be the teams to beat again. Still hard to get exited about a four team comp.

is this the last year the Upper Murray league exists? 2 teams spending up and 2 barely competitive. The once mighty demons decision not to merge with Feds looks like a poor one.

There was a really good time to make a change. That times gone and people have moved on.

So another season rolls on by. Same two teams in the Grand final. Corryong seniors haven’t won a game in three years and their reserves haven’t won in two. Surely it’s time someone made some hard decisions for the future of football in the area. Any decision outside of the status quo would be a step forward.

Corryong put the call out on Facebook last night for more players. Saying they will struggle to field sides in the coming weeks. When are people going to see a trend here. We’ve lost two clubs in 5 years and now another is calling out for numbers ten days out from a new season starting..

Tallangatta FC get more numbers at Corryong on Tuesday nights than Corryong FC has.

Another article in the weekly times with Evan Nicholas and mont waters wanting a two tiered Tallangatta league comp. I can’t imagine any tdfl teams jumping at the chance to join the remaining umfl teams.. Corryong would get beaten by 300 points by the bottom tdfl side. And how does it help junior and senior numbers in the area??

Don’t know how many times it needs to be said. There’s probably not even enough players in the area for one club.

Jarrod Stephenson at TDFL HQ won’t have a bar of this suggestion. The clubs will strike it down to. The UMFL is dead in the water.

They have to field a senior side is the requirement I think. This exact same thing happened at federal in the last year. We put the call out in the media after having very low numbers. Started the season with just enough.

Come the middle of the year in the cold weather we were back to having low numbers and started having to forfeit games.
