Arrange a meeting to form the Upper Murray Eagles FNC (or something else) in May/June 2023.
Get a committee set up and start building a financial base by securing sponsorship for 2024 and beyond.
Apply to enter the TDFL.
Hire a senior coach with good knowledge of the TDFL.
Get local footballers and netballers to commit.
Top them up with players to strengthen any areas of deficiency.

Or the community can sit back and procrastinate and football dies in the region.

It's a simple equation.

That won’t happen.
Too many people with their heads in the sand.

You'd think the fixture would be out by now ... it would only take 20 minutes to do LOL.

Give the clubs a number then go:

Round 1 - 1 v 2 and 3 v 4
Round 2 - 2 v 3 and 4 v 1
Round 3 - 1 v 3 and 2 v 4

Then reverse it for the next three rounds and then copy the text and paste the six rounds underneath. Change the pasted text so the round numbers read 7 to 12.

Are they going to have a Final Four (and give everyone a final LOL) or a Final Three with a Preliminary Final and Grand Final?

The Ravensthorpe District FA in WA has been a two-team league for seven or eight seasons now after the demise of Lakes.

Southerners (based in Hopetoun) are far too strong for Tigers (based in Ravensthorpe) but the league somehow keeps on struggling on. They play either six or eight matches plus a Grand Final. In effect, one club could be premiers on the back of only one win for the season.

The league is still recognised by the WA Country Football League.

Pretty sure King Island only has 2 or 3 teams as well?

League is cooked
Ok so how do we get to a point where footy is vibrant for the upper Murray again? What’s it going to take to make the Cudgewa/tumba types to see the light? Is Feds going into recess the first step? Because there’s another generation of kids that will be split between playing at their existing clubs in 10 player games and the kids that are starting to accept the travel required to play actual football..

word on the street up here is bullioh are still looking for change.

Bullioh would jump if the opportunity arose.

They almost have to do so for their own good now.

They seem to be the keenest to do something about it but the others seem content to sink with the Titanic. They would in effect become a quasi "Upper Murray Eagles".

If they are able to find their way into the TDFL then some players from other clubs are likely to jump aboard because playing TDFL football is a step in the right direction for football in the region.
