I was so sad when Cheers closed down :(

Thankfully most of the characters/actors moved on to other things

Which were even more sucessful than Cheers (for most)

Yes, Frasier was always going to be a success. And many of the Cheers characters have appeared on the show, Woody, Niles (who only did a couple of small parts on Cheers but still) and most memorably, Lilith and Diane......who could ever forget that episode with Diane's play about the Cheers characters???? :D

Cliff & Norm used to crack me up with the stupid things and bets they used to come out with...

I remember one with Kevin McHale from the Boston Celtics, and they had a bet as to how many bolts were in the Boston Garden floor, so they asked Kevin, and during the game he stops to start counting.

The episode ends with Cliff & Norm sneaking in to count to see who wins the bet :D

Kevin McHale was in a few shows with Cheers.
There was one show where Sam hired him as a bartender so that they could beat Gary's Old' Town Tavern in Basketball.
Woody kept asking him questions about that doofus Larry Bird who was from French Lick Indiana ( spelling ) because there was a town rivalry between them and Woody's home town of Hanover.
Another time Kevin got a call from his wife and was told to get back home because he had snuck out to go down to Cheers.

Great Great show.

Does anyone remember the Andy Andy character ?
Does anyone remember that Frasier often use to talk about his dearly departed parents and the actor who now plays his dad in Frasier being a jingle writer for Rebecca ?

Does anyone know the name of the wooden Indian ?

Does anyone remember the final epsiode and when Norm told Sam that Sam could never be unfaithful to his one true love ?
Does anyone know what that one true love was ?

Might have just gone overboard.

YES!!!!!!!! I remember that one!!!!!!! :D

One of my all time faves is the one when Frasier and Diane are showing slides of their European trip and Frasier is making all kinds of snide comments about Diane leaving him!!!!!! Funny stuff, anyone remember that one?????

Ooh would LOVE to see that, will have to keep an eye out for it, thanks Lethal. ;)

All I can say to all of this is thank bloody godness for Foxtel hey!! How's this for a line up of a night time....

COMEDY WITH BITE on TV1
8:30 - Just Shoot Me
9:00 - Seinfeld
9:30 - Frasier
10:00 - Married With Children

Cheers is also on Foxtel which is great as I only really started watching it after I got Foxtel 3 years ago. Norm & Cliff make me laugh all the time with their silly antics!! :D:D

Cheers!! :D;)

It has most of the old Cheers people from memory, they were having a retirement party for Cliff at the post office in a bar in which the majority of the characters attend. Just not Sam as Ted Danson was filming Becker at the time.
