the price of the food at the Masters makes Australia’s prices at sports event seem way over the top

Long way to go. +3 is only 6 shots out of second place and if Rose comes back then it's open.

Big difference between morning and afternoon play at the Masters, particularly if the wind starts to swirl through Amen Corner.

Not sure if actual golf expert or just spewing out tropes.

Still open and value around. Old saying, u can't win the event on the first round but u can lose it. Greens are rude as to get up and down on.

Hovland was impressive after a triple on the first

One observation I did make from yesterday was the players, were being a bit more defensive on the putts. They know if they overhit the ball by a bit, it could run past the hole. So I think the greens are quite quick paced and players aren't taking that risk.

Barring a deluge the greens at Augusta are super sharp, even though they don't use a Stimp they are predicted at around 12. Anything over 8 is considered fast. The main issue though is the slope, get on the wrong side of the hole and you can roll 80ft off the green

Anyone tell me if it's better to tee off in morning or later today?
They are saying a possibility of rain will come late on Friday evening:

So it will definitely an advantage teeing up in the morning i reckon. Winds will be blustery come late in the afternoon.

There might be some value in the 3.10 for birdie on 16. Rose is 2nd on the PGA tour approaching from 150-175, this hole is 170 and he's obviously swinging well. He averages 22ft from the pin from that range so would be likely to have a reasonable putt, would come down to whether he makes it. Makes 45% of putts from 10-15 ft if he hits a good iron shot.

I can't remember the Rd 2 pin position though. Rd 3 is back right on the elevated area and Rd 4 is front left where the ball feeds down.
