He needs to realise that Grand Slams are the most important events. He plays 20% more events than Federer-way too much. Only Davydenko plays more events. That schedule is ridiculous for Nadal.

It does take an effort I agree but just as its quite some time since Rafa beat Roger off the clay it may well be some time before he does it to Nole again. Djokovic will probably final and possibly win at NY, should have finalled at Wimbledon and would have were he not injured and has beaten Federer on hards recently. That is serious form and he is now a serious threat to everyone and anyone. He is favourite to beat Rafa on any surface but clay.

Despite the great effort he put in at Wimbledon it is very hard to see Federer lose that anytime soon.
Which makes the Australian the most likely but TBH I think Federer will win convincingly next year.

Yeah, his fitness is usually an advantage over most opponents but against Federer it's cancelled out by several other strengths of the great man.
The Ferrer-Djokovic game should be interesting with both playing great tennis. If Novak wins, he's some sort of chance against Federer given he beat him in a final recently. Then again, pre-Slam matches aren't quite the best measure of superior players' talent.

Rafa has the reach the finals before he can trouble Fed remember and while it is true that his rtesilience rattles Fed it is also the case that Fed is 4-2 against him in the most recent 6 contests. Fed usually beats Rafa when not on clay.

They only get equal pay when the WTA tour coincides with the ATP tour at the majors. When it is asked to stand alone without riding the back of the men's game Tier 1 WTA events are worth significantly less than half the equivalent masters series men's events. Overall the WTA tour is worth well over 20 million less than the ATP and that figure is pumped by riding the back of the ATP at majors.
It is quite ridiculous that Justine Henin playing what is a sideline event earns what the finest sportsman on earth playing the game at a level she couldn't hope to aspire to is also earning. However well done the ladies for riding political correctness to the bank. Roger federeer and Rafa Nadal are building quite a few swimming pools for the ladies on the WTA Tour.

As for Rafa being better than Nole on grass the first set of the semi at Wimbledon was an education for rafa in how the game is played off clay and then injury robbed Nole of his rightful place in the final.
well excuse me, but winning 1 set doesnt mean winning the match.Rafa commited 12 unforced errors in that set, but he was coming back in the 2nd set and broke him EARLY and was starting to play really well.FFS even on hardcourts, its just a couple of points which decided nole vs rafa match last week and rafa was playing well below par.
