Verdasco is a chance against Nadal, of all of the players Nadal would hate to play against, Verdasco would be in the top 2-3 players.

Nadal has a 10-0 record against him and has only dropped 1 set outside of that Australian Open encounter. Verdasco played the match of his life that night and still came up short. He doesn't stand a chance, especially on the back of a 4.5 hour marathon.

They do matchup well, and Verdasco will trouble Nadal. Lets not forget this is Nadal's worst surface.

It might be Nadal's worst surface, but he's still made the Semi Finals the last two years.

Also, for whoever said Nadal might be tired, remember he Verdasco in a marathon five setter at the 2009 Australian Open in the Semi Finals then backed it up by beating Federer in the Final in five sets. Nadal won't be troubled physically.

Nadal's form is unbelievable, he's playing way better than in any previous year at the US Open. Hard to see him not making the final.

Looking forward to the Djokovic match, up against one of my most hated players, so he'd better win!! I'll only get to watch it late tomorrow though.

Work has completely ruined my watching of this tournament; I've seen way less than I would've liked.

Head to heads mean nothing. How about Soderling Federer head to head prior to this years F.O? I remember soderling won something like 2 sets in their 12 prior meetings.Take the H2H with a grain of salt.Verdasco is a very talented player.

OMG, Monfils just tried to hit a jumping tweener. He easily could have hit a conventional forehand. I'd be pissed at that effort as his coach

I don't undertsand how Rasheed has stayed so long with Monfils, you can tell his contiunal game style of slicing defensive crap running after every ball like a mad man is annoying the hell out of him.

Djokovic has been playing well given the conditions, despite his comical net play.

Monfils is one of the most corrupt players on tour. Has been involved in various betting scandals that the media has never got a hold of. Never bet on a Monfils tennis match unless you want to back the outsider. Rasheed is in on the whole thing.

this is the least interesting of the grand slam tournaments!

timezone issues with Australia and also strangely enough... Europe. and also too much going on at this time of the year

another issue is how the final set of the us open is a tiebreak if its 6 games all... what else do you expect from americanisation?

Fed disposed of Soderling easily in 3 sets
only because soderling capitulated after seving for the 3rd set at 5-3, surprisingly really as i would have thought he had confidence having beaten him at the french. Federer wins alot of his matches mentally, The match was tight up till that point, it was all about taking the chances presented which federer did, soderling had his chances and he blew it, he will never win a grand slam because he is too inconsistent on the big points.

Verdasco-Ferrer was one of the best matches I've seen this year.

Which would have been 100 times better without the stupid tie-breaker!

The classic match at the AO will be remembered more, last year's Wimbledon final, the Roddick- El An, etc. What have all these in common..well you guessed it..NO TIE BREAKERS to decide a final set!:thumbsu:
