Agree only just noticed that draw when they showed it! Evans looked alright against Nishikori, Tomic will need to play better to beat him after that performance thought he was pretty good (Evans).
Would like to see Matosevic finally show something and win for once in a Slam, hopefully now is the time.
Good to see barty get a win in the first round.

Yep, interesting she hasn't played since wimbledon but made use of a nice draw here.
Marinko just dropped first set, hitting too many errors and Kyrigos just about to go on court as Stephens struggled through her match.
Nadal and Venus got a nice win over Flipkens

Marinko loses in 4. Another slam, another loss, another showing of complete lack of mental maturity by him. He either played too tight and forced himself into errors or get on top of the point but get too tentative and make a tactical error that gets Robredo a pass or something along those lines. Just too damn predictable.
Kyrigos lost in straight but his game makes me very very very very excited, thought he did as well as anyone could expect

Kyrgios is a real talent and someone I think we can pin our hopes on with confidence. Thought his performance against Ferrer was impressive despite going down - holding his own easily with his booming serve and forehand.

Just got back from the us open, great day with front row seats, just metres from the net.
Tomic was very impressive in the 1st and 2nd half of the 4th and 5th sets. I know it's been said before but he needs a new coach. He actually has a lot of power when he goes for a driving forehand/backhand and more often than not makes the shot. To many times he is on the verge of winning the point only to let his opponent back in it when he could have won it with a shot at 80% power and a metre within the line.
I will say one thing and that is Tomic seems to be maturing as a person. He was very appreciative of our rowdy support, giving us thumbs ups during the match and thanking us after the game. Seemed to genuinely appreciate the support. Felt we let him down a bit though when we cheered a backhand down the line in the 1st set that got a very late "out" call. He looked over at us and I think maybe upon seeing our reaction decided to challenge with it just missing the line
The Verdasco / Dodig match was just awesome. Great atmosphere an an enthralling match
Kyrgios looks even better live than he oes on TV. Agains anyone outside the top 10 he would have ha a great hence of winning. Ferrer came up with som brilliant returns, Kyrgios would hav won so many more free points from the serve ha he been playin anyone outside the top 10. A real talent, hard to say wether he is more talented than Bernie, different talents but he definitely has. Full range of shots with a killer serve!
Also watched Barttys 2nd set and Matosevic play like crap

Then Sam plays after her not before 7:00AM our time. Casey is second on court 9. Really disappointing Gulbis bombed out so easily in the first round. He had a good draw.

Is most likely going to get absolutely hammered out there, but I really like the look of Fabbiano's groundstrokes early. Very smooth technique, especially on the backhand side. Lots of racquet head speed generated pretty easily too.
Janowicz is a guy that puzzles me. Could be anything but loses a lot of matches he shouldnt. Casey had a tight 3 set loss.
I'm guessing Fox Sports are going to stick with Federer and not show Liv?

I saw that! I didn't even know she was gay. Tomorrows OOP is out. Murray plays Llodra in the night session on Arthur Ashe. Really looking forward to that obviously being a big Murray fan. But I remember there match at the AO was really entertaining. Hewitt plays Baker 3rd on Louis Armstrong Staduim. Good time for us Aussies. Duckworth plays Smyczek second on court 17. The court I look foward to watching would be Grandstand. Nice schedule there.
