I'm predicting that Djokovic will bounce back strongly after an early exit in Wimbledon and the Olympics, and while Murray has been in red-hot form his record at the US Open isn't as good as the Australian Open or Wimbledon despite winning his first slam there back in 2012.

Berdych is out? I didnt know he was injured

It's shame Puig misses out on a seeding especially after her great performance at the Olympics

If one more person drops out. She's in.

Live coverage from 1am through to 1pm each day on Fox Sports 4.
I believe the Daily Serve show with Adam & Wally will be on each night 6.30pm to 7pm.

Last time I was in new York during the us open period, the tv coverage was ok. Usually it's all about baseball
One of the great things about the aussie open and Melbourne is that we get behind it completely and it's such a huge event and there is broad coverage. Did you go to a day at the tennis when you were there?

Yes I went a couple of times to the US open and it was great. But like you said in Melbourne we get great tv coverage of the tennis and the whole city is excited about it.

It's a different atmosphere in New York, for one the venue is out in Queens and less people in the day time. i found during the day sessions it was mostly Europeans.

That you've been to both which would you rate higher? The us open has always been 4th in the view and maybe it has to do with the time zone difference and lack of coverage on free to air. I'd still love to go one day.

AO being a 10 minute walk from the cbd adds an incredible amount to the experience.

For me, Australian Open is better for many reasons.

For one, our location is soo much better than going out to Queens especially if you are staying in Manhattan.

I think the Australian Open has a better atmosphere and people are excited about tennis. Whereas I went to US Open on day 1 and it wasn't crowded and plenty of empty seats. plus if you are sitting near the top at centre court, as a spectator you don't see much. It's so steep...

Plus I found most new Yorkers didn't care about the us open unless Serena is playing. Though the night sessions are popular especially for celebrities... Anyway I still think it's a cool tournament to attend especially if you are a tennis fan.

The Aussie wildcards for the US Open are James Duckworth and Ellen Perez (who won a play off, beating Ash Barty).

The following players will play in qualies; Groth, Smith, Barton, Mitchell, Whittington, Saville and Arina Rodianova.

Looks like no multi court coverage, I'm going to assume Wally/Adam aren't heading up this year either. So uesless world feed coverage again, I will be sticking to eurosport player this year.

Probably the first major where Djokovic doesn't go in as overwhelming favourite for a long while.
