In a general sense or just in this match? Since the Australian open he has been in a bit of a mini slump (that sounds ridiculous seeing as he won at roland garros) by his standards. And especially since paris he has been off and has played very few matches since then. Somethings off for sure.
That or maybe his body is starting to let him down a little and not allowing him to have impeccable preparations. He's heading towards 30 and it's only normal.

I think it's mainly mental. I think winning the French was so huge and the one accomplishment that he truly desired (Olympic gold next best) that he's been a bit flat ever since. It's understandable. This tournament will be interesting to see where he's at.
Great demolition job in the final two sets, I think losing that second set got him a little angry. With the amount of break point chances he had in the second it really should've been over in 3.

This happens every god damn year at the us open, it's laziness at its finest. Having to rely on recorded matches because I'm at work in mornings, just a pain that two hours of that coverage is wasted. God I hate Foxtel.
Amazing to see Ducky win a close match, good on him, handy points for sure.

. down to 98th in the world. hang in there Schmids. you gotta keep within the top 100.has 649 ranking points now. she has to defend 110 in Seoul(Semi Final) straight after the US open and then 190 points in Wuhan the week after. life gets easy after that Schmids and you really dont have to defend any more points for a whole year.
