Gets injured a lot and weak mentally, not a good combo to go deep in slams.

Can't get excited about this since it's unlikely I'll see any of it. Hope the Aussies do well but no doubt they'll all be knocked out by about round three.
Bad luck for Nick. Not entirely surprised given he has had injury problems all week.

Can't win, turns up sick as a dog and gets flogged people would still complain. What does him missing a tournament through illness have to do with not having a heart?
Yeah that's a puzzler. He seems to really enjoy doubles; I would say he was cleared to play through the injury and didn't want to miss out. Not a very professional decision if that's it, though, but understandable. You have to wonder if he has been carrying the injury what the hell he is doing playing doubles as well.
Oh yep, here we go. Nick already getting ripped into by Aussie media and 'fans' on FB.

I will ask the question of those who know how this works. Is there relief from ranking points if injured/retiring during a match as opposed to losing a match ( even though its in the book as a loss) ?
Shame that injury lingered, but damn is he a name in tennis now.
Primetime on Arthur Ashe against an unseeded opponent. Some of its probably because he's such an exciting player to watch, which also figures into how he's mercurial like that. But feels like his whole 'brand' is appreciated more by the rest of the world than it is in Australia which is dumb and a shame.
Haven't had that kind of attention for a tennis player male or female since Lleyton was no. 1.
