I noticed that the other day in a few highlights I saw, players were just dripping with sweat.

Also that outfit Serena had on was awful. I really don't like black on the tennis court. Murray likes to wear black too. I know I am being old fashioned but I don't mind all the other colours, even the flouro , but black just looks awful to me.

I dont like the black outfit either.

Stan is wearing his fluro outfit today and it's all wet. He was arguing with the umpire before because he got a time warning so Stan mentioned the conditions are so difficult tonight, give us a break.

What a turnaround by Nishikori in the 4th set, he is coming back. Though he really needs to hold serve here

So, we have another Djokovic/Wawrinka final. I for one am very pleased, as this seems to be one of the better rivalries going around in men's tennis atm. Going for Novak as always but I like Stan too so it's kind of a win win.

normal Monfils game then. and to think i thought he could beat Nole. need my head checked out.

Kerber in 2. more experienced and havent played her final, like Pliskova.but i am baised as all hell

So...it comes down to Pliskova vs Kerber. Pliskova's serve and power are far superior to Kerber's, but Karolina's movement around the court reminds me of a baby giraffe at times. If Kerber's serve holds up, I see her winning in 2 sets. If not, Pliskova could certainly win this one.

Two of my favourite players on tour though; and with Serena out, either winner today will be someone new (which is great).

good first set. the tturning point was that chase down and then winner down the line by, who else, Kerber.

Oh sheet! Pliskova wins the second 6-4 and has all the momentum. It would be a real shame for Kerber after the year she's had to only come away with 1 grand slam win out of 3 finals. It would also be her third consecutive finals loss in major events (including the olympics). Add in her loss in Cincinatti and maybe there's a real problem there in her ability to win in finals against the very best players....

Every point is so hard for Kerber. Pliskova is, of course, dominating the base line, but it feels like Pliskova is too much in control here.

Pliskova has to Cool down to ease the pressure on Kerbers racquet.

Pliskova gets the break and looks set to win this from here. She deserves the victory having beaten Venus and Serena already this tournament. Still hoping Kerber can somehow pull it out though.

Massive down the line winner there from Kerber to help her hold serve. You can tell that both ladies are super-nervous now that it's getting down to it.
