All outside courts cancelled for the rest of today 44 cancelled 11 in progress, thats 87 matches to be scheduled into day 3 to get the tournament back on track including the 32 already scheduled for tomorrow

Crazy couple of hours ahead for the schedulers to manipulate the layout of day 3. At least the US can play all day and night. I wonder if they will keep Kyrgios v Millman on Louis Armstrong stadium?

Yeah I thought it was just me that thought the courts were very slow for the u.s , I watched nearly the whole tournament last year while on holidays.

The courts last year seemed much quicker than day 1. Looking at the court now with the roof on Arthur Ashe court it looks really slow. Isn't an indoor match meant to make the ball move quicker

In the air, yes, but it counts for nought if they've manipulated the playing surface which is highly possible i.e. they put more sand in the top layer than usual. Maybe an anti-Fed move for the conspiracy theorists out there or maybe just contrasting with what the Aus Open had earlier this year, or maybe a switcheroo even.

Apparently Eurosport player is down to around 10 euros for the us open, honestly it's worth it. Would be using it if ESPN wasn't every court on Foxtel.

Great win by Jordy, had a sneak feeling he could do it, all about the match up there and if Sock isn't playing well then he's spraying the ball a lot. Jordy doesn't have a lot but he's a grinder.
