free 2 week trial with Foxtel Go. At least you get ESPN. Just make sure you get rid of it before the trial ends.Wow, well done to ThommoBad luck Thanasi
(I was sure he'd win... )
I am getting absolutely no coverage through my betting accountsNo idea why, usually get heaps. Oh well, looks like I won't be seeing any matches until the quarter finals.

i think she will struggle over 2 weeks TBH. not enough game time. i havent had a look at her draw by i am assuming Mug is in the other section by your comment. What a match too, heart in the mouth stuff!
How were Sharapova's odds to win the thing $15? Haley is her bunny and she gets through this and she's half that price.
Sitter of a draw to get to the semi now.

Good match, worthy of a quarter final. Poor Halep. No chance for the end of year number 1 now. cant lose in the first round twice in a year and expect that.
I meant year end.Won't that depend on how much Pliskova wins/loses this week?
Can Muguruza go number 1?
Welcome back Maria
Do you really see the point in Sharapova doing a WC tournament? There are already enough ordinary WC's as it is. No issue with a former 4 time Grand Slam Champion being given a WC.
I understand your point though, just don't agree with it.
Just made good money on her so boo awayBoooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
I meant year end.
not sure what will happen at the end of the tournament. The commentators said that Halep could still be number 1 if she loses this match but I think that is highly unlikely now. so many things have to happen
8 players could end up number 1 at the end of the tournament. Konta was one(not anymore)
If she had been out with injury or had an absence that wasn't due to a ban then I wouldn't of had any issue with her getting a wild card.
I just think it's unfair by the other players who followed all the rules and made sure they weren't taking Meldonium or any other banned supliments, the players had sufficient notice and even a cool down period.
There have been quite a few semi professional Australian sportsmen who have copped bans for taking Higenamine (In several fat burners i.e OxyShred) recently, even though the AIS, ASADA and various sporting bodies have been advising the drug is banned since late last year. If it is expected that semi professional athletes know which drugs are banned (We are talking Fencing, Golf and Volleyball) then I would expect a multi million dollar athlete to be on top of what drugs/ supplements they are taking.
If Sharapova had entered qualifying (She had a high enough ranking to do so), qualified then played Halep I wouldn't have any issue with this whatsoever. I don't agree with her being given a free ride into one of the major tournaments for the year after testing positive, even if it was a mistake.
Sure thing![]()
I understand your point but I can't see them excluding drawcords especially when half the mens side is injured/not playing. I get your thinking and a lot of people share that view.
Personally though if you ask me if I'd want Sharapova or someone who has never been ranked higher than 100 playing, I know who I want to be given the WC.
Understand your point of view, and from an entertainment standpoint it is fantastic.
The French Open Excluded her even though she is a major draw-card, but the French Open have very traditional point of view when it comes to most matters.
From a justice point of view I think none of the players would of complained if she had been forced to come through qualifying when she returned instead of getting multiple WTA and now Grand Slam Wildcards. It would have brought extra interest into qualifying/ low grade challenger events and if it had been done correctly the players would have likely accepted her comeback with open arms.
Personally I think the WTA haven't handled the situation as well as they could have (Aware the WTA doesn't hand out wildcards for events), if it had been handled correctly it would of issued a huge statement on the corruption in tennis and shown the correct level of support for a returning champion.
I think she is always a good dark horse for the Aus Open, but not for other GS events. I have mentioned that a couple times this last week. And I was a huge fan of her before Wimbledon.Good lord if Konta could have been number 1. I'm one of her biggest fans and I can't get her one bit. It's like she's playing with little or no confidence. I just wonder whether her spat with her coach had some effect this last couple of weeks.
