Just answering my own question. Apologies if this is all common knowledge.

ESPN has the USO contract but SBS screened the quarters, semis and finals (TV and online).
Probably worthwhile to make use of the 2-week free trial of Foxtel Now: www.foxtel.com.au/Foxtel-Now/. Not sure if that can be redeemed once every 12 months.

The entire ATP Tour (ex. the 4 slams) can be streamed via https://www.tennistv.com/. Some events are geoblocked for some countries, none are geoblocked for Australia. $20 for 1 month or $150 for 12 months (both from date of purchase).

Site has a useful tournament schedule: https://www.tennistv.com/tournaments/2017/09
The WTA has finally launched their own TV channel called WTA TV. it is roughly $14 a month or $100 a year. It is basically TennisTv but for the WTA.

Personally, I just use Bet365 to watch most matches. The WTA feed has basic commentary while you just get the match stream with the ATP. Hopefully that continues.

I don't get why anyone suggest that Nadal will retire before he gets to Federer's age.

He's arguably the most single-minded athlete I've ever seen, driven amazingly.

His body HAS let him down a few times but his actual fitness is at a superhuman level. He's so close to the record (regardless of how often he says he doesn't think about it) and he's already shown that he can fight back from any setback.

25 is a stretch, Nadal has looked mortal at times even in his wins. Winning another 9 is alot. Getting to 20 will be tough enough and IMHO it will depend if Djokovic can recapture his form / will to win, since Nadal has had trouble with him in the past.

Novak recapturing form next year would be fantastic. Imagine tbe big 3 back again.

its funny how both the Fed and Novak really dropped off after summit ting the french open. Novak definitely lost interest and it was disappointing to see him crash out of the AO.

It seems like he is targeting the AO for his return (his favored and most successful slam) so we'll know where he is at then. I hope he wins it.

bump.

Has anyone got TennisTV or WTA TV. If so, how is it.

Saw that you can watch 4 matches on WTA TV and that tempted me. Would love being able to watch more tennis even easier than before.

Have WTA TV. Don't follow the men much outside the ones I like.

I like WTA TV though decent coverage and good commentary which changes a bit so you get variety there

I have used TennisTV in the past, just bought it for 24 hours to watch a particular match (can't remember which one). But now I can watch the same tournaments via my betting accounts so haven't bothered since. TennisTV doesn't cover the Grand Slams unfortunately.
