Reckon there is a correlation between countries which have covid under control and missing the US Open. A lot of aussies have withdrawn.
Edit: both players withdrew because of injury, and not Covid.

I’m happy that the tournament is going ahead, despite the withdrawals. It’s going to be a wild tournament results wise. Going to be interesting to see who can perform after such a long layoff.
It’s set up for a Serena title, but I doubt she’ll win. Someone will hit form and knock her out in the later stages.

I wonder if they will add fake crowds......
It is going to be a hard watch. the lack of a crowd and the whole impact of covid on the tour. I always find the US the hardest before that, due to the slow courts, timezone and Americans(TV, audience).

arent you the same person who always complains about that......
but you are right. there are going to be random results. I dont think the tennis will be the best. going to be some unfit players and some who just won't cope.

Rarely complain about that although I do hope Novak wins. As for the women as long as it’s not Serena I’m happy. Kerber would do. Pliskova will choke as usual
