All answers are either percentage or electoral vote based.

To answer the questions the most appropriate and readable method would be to copy and paste this template and bold your answers.

I want this done by about Friday, maybe even Sunday. Points total to 100.

Question 1
Winner of the election – Overall (12, 6)
• Tie
• Obama 0-29.99
• Obama 30-59.99
• Obama 60-89.99
• Obama 90-119.99
• Obama 120-149.99
• Obama 150-179.99

Full points if you’re correct with your bracket and half points if your answer is touching the right bracket.

Question 2 (1)

• 0-9.99

In the past 10 elections, only twice has the GOP won Hawaii. One of those was 84 in the disastrous Mondale election and the other was the equally disastrous McGovern election. Can anyone shed any light about why this is the case?

In the past 10 elections, only twice has the GOP won Hawaii. One of those was 84 in the disastrous Mondale election and the other was the equally disastrous McGovern election. Can anyone shed any light about why this is the case?

I think Hawaii's large minority population inclines them towards the Democrats. Lots of Asians and native Hawaiians etc.

Update: Although this exit poll had Kerry doing best with whites. He also did better in the less populated islands.

Will the Republicans state victories be similar to the ones in the Bush elections, securing all the bogan ones?

Someone please tell me Obama's gonna win this election?

If anyone who's voted would like to ammend your answer to exclude DC then it would be appreciated.

(I've updated the original post - w/ the above stipulated)

One other mistake I made was not including the question asking which state would jave the smallest margin of victory. (obviously % based)

Doesn't really matter but it should've been included.

Will the Republicans state victories be similar to the ones in the Bush elections, securing all the bogan ones?

Someone please tell me Obama's gonna win this election?
Obama is a near lock to retain all states Kerry won in 2004.

These totaled 252 electoral votes.

So basically, he needs to win 18 votes (even 17) from the Bush total of 286 to win the Presidency.

And at this point it looks likely he'll achieve that.

So, yes the Republicans state victories will be the familiar (very unlikely to pick up any states they didn't win last time) 'bogan' states won in 2004.

Whereas without checking there's probably about 10 states Bush won in 2004 that Obama has a good-strong chance of winning. At best (and being GOP optimistic) McCain has an outside chance of winning 1 or 2 states won by Kerry in 2004.

Things are looking good. (if you're Obama way inclined)
