Looking for help from someone who resides in one of these countries.

Our son is a World of Warcraft freak (no interest in football - shakes head in horror). We are trying to arrange his birthday present which is basically a model of his character which is all well and good except we have one hitch.

The hitch is they will only post it to an American or Canadian address. We need to find someone who is willing to have the figurine posted to them and then forward it to us (obviously we will pay the postage)

That is a "freak"! My son's into some similar stuff.

No you cant get it from the games work shop, these people go into the game capture the image of your player and then make a model of that player with all the idividual accessories.

Almost like bringing your character to life.

I just found this through google. I haven't used anything like it, so there might be others.

Basically, it's a central depot in the U.S. that forwards your purchase to Australia. You might want to do some research on the company before diving in, but it would certainly solve your problem if it works.

I thought there was a PayPal subsidiary that offered a similar service but I deleted the email PayPal sent me about it and I can't seem to find it using Google. Maybe I just dreamt it.

For US purchases, I suggest using forwarding companies to ship your packages from the Unites States. A good example is VIAddress (http://www.viaddress.com) which I can recommend because of a pretty good experience with them. Their rates are also the cheapest among their competitors.

The kid has probably out grown that present by now

Hi!, no need to have a contact in the US, you only need mail forwarding!
If you're still looking to shop online from the United States, you should try www.Viaddress.com.
A few of my friends have been using Viaddress to get products shipped from the United States because most US merchants and US ebay sellers don't ship outside the US.
You can open an account for free on www.viaddress.com and you get a US address. You can then ship products to your suite at Viaddress, then have Viaddress forward them to you.
You just pay Viaddress for the shipping fees, and their rates are the lowest that I could find.
