100000% not going to Vegas. I don't care for gambling.

I also don't really care for cities. I'm a nature boy. Thinks like avenue of the giants, Oregon trails, Big Sur etc

Vegas is more than gambling, but if you're not a city-lover then I imagine even NYC isn't on your to-do list (and that's not a judgement, just an observation).

I mean, don't get me wrong, I live in a big city (for the country that I live in) - but without having been to the USA - I don't feel that going to NYC would be that different to living in Sydney or Melbourne, just on a much bigger scale. For example, I absolutely love Japanese cities - and enjoyed every second of being in Tokyo - bit I really don't find anything about Berlin that appealing. Horses for courses I guess

I'm from NYC and have been to Sydney and Melbourne, and while I agree with you to an extent in that most large cities kind of blend in together, what sets them apart is the cultural offerings, and NYC is one of the best cities in the world when it comes to that.

Washington dc and new york are ok. As is new orleans. Hardly as exciting as european cities though. Chicago, boston, philly and miami are awfully boring.
Really? I absolutely love Chicago. It would be my number 1 travel destination. There’s just so much to do there. Museums, sports, architecture, bars, food. If I had to choose one city to return to for a visit, it’d be Chicago.

agree on new york. Its just a bigger city but no different to other cities. Vegas however is unique. Wont find it anywhere else in the world. Its also near some of the best scenery on the planet.

Horses for courses but NYC is different (and perhaps that's because it's so large). Not to borrow from The Castle, but it has its own vibe. Similarly, I don't see London as "just another large city". To be honest, I'd say most cities have their own unique qualities, to greater and lesser degrees. To suggest all cities are pretty much the same is a gross generalisation. But that's just my take.

I have visited New York twice and agree, When you are there you know it's New York.

Chicago to me feels a little bit like New York but that's the only other city in the world where i've felt like that.

Hopefully everything has opened up by late October this year.
I booked flights to America

Just 2 or so weeks, Honolulu (Boise State vs Hawaii), Seattle, Boise (UNLV vs Boise State) and potentially Yellowstone.

This all assuming

1) The borders are open
2) QANTAS is flying
3) No changes to the college football season.

Modern cities are all the same. If you want big modern city its not new york you go to. Its shanghai or tokyo. New york is just a smaller version of them. Although new york has movie history locations for us western people.

Yeah, will be start of next year at earliest, no chance of October. A couple of senior Qantas execs that I deal with have said their plans at this stage revolve around commencement of International travel in January but only to a couple of destinations. Obviously they hope it’s earlier but that is what they are planning for

Tbf though some of them are a lot nicer than crown
If you ignore some of the biggest nightclubs on the planet, the most bizarre looking hotels on the planet all in one location, some of the best restaurants in the world, an awesome cocktail bar scene, the almost constant 40 degree dry heat and unique desert scenary and plenty of shows then sure i guess its a bit like crown casino.

last time i went for 6 days and didnt gamble once. But boy did I party And live it up.
