Your Car Used BMW

Considering buying a used BMW (1999 3 series coupe) and was just wondering what people's thought's were on a car this age. Obviously BMW are a quality car manufacturer but I was just wondering do you think it will be a solid car for a decent amount of time compared to the price I would have to pay (just under 20k)

BMW's are excellent quality cars but like any car, you have to be careful that one that age has been looked after well. This is particularly important for bimmers as spares and servicing cost a fortune, which will also reflect in the cost of insurance. Nice cars otherwise.
