I was sitting in traffic and using google maps to find my destination (doesn't matter still illegal). I look up and see a police car driving on the footpath on the other side of the road, meaning there were still 3 lanes of traffic separating us. It didn't appear at all he was signalling at me and the siren was not activated.
I then go to turn at the lights and my phone rings with a random number showing. This strikes me as very weird considering I rarely ever get random numbers ring me on my mobile. Could the police somehow tap into my phone to get my number and ring me? Then as I'm driving down the street (the cop had no way to follow me because of on coming traffic) a large truck is behind me and flashes his high beams at me a couple times. I pull over to the nearest street but the truck does not follow, then I wait and a couple of minutes later a different cop car is driving towards me but keeps going right by me.
A random set of circumstances or did the police want me? Should I be expecting a letter in the mail and if so, don't they need proof I was using my phone? Or scenario 3, because I didn't get pulled over - I am in the clear, despite the police wanting to get me?
