Someone on here said drop Rowbotton this week.... Jesus.
Mcinnerny is looking every bit the modern footballer, great skill set and pace.
mccartin excellent and I wasreally pleased for Clarke. Sinkers fought really hard in the ruck I love him.

Melican has really improved in recent weeks, his going to have a long career with the Swans.

Wasn't Blakeys most flashy game but it was one of his stronger ones, he stood up in the midfield late in the match as well.

That felt a bit unexpected maybe I'm just getting that early nineties feel where I expect a loss and go nuts over the wins.

Taylor is an easy upgrade on Bell. Maybe not a like for like but at present he offers more than Bell in composure or execution. Massive fat shaming in the lead up on this board which I find hard being an obese bloke constantly trying to diet to give myself a few more years as an older guy with a young son. Probably needs to lose 5k to help him AFL weight wise but seems a bit too much glee in riding him for his weight. Would give anything to be 5kg overweight but it ain't easy.

Reid stepped up in that first half with the game to be won.

I almost ripped shreds off Caeser88 for again suggesting Rowbottom needs a rest in a 17 round season with plenty of rest ahead. But whilst I don't agree maybe I understand his position.

Clarke was unusually good

And Punts boy McInerney I keep wondering if he is up to it but improves every chance he is given.

The lesser lights stepped up tonight whilst Florent prick teases his potential hard to read his worth.

Loved our pressure this game. It was so nice to see us not all chase the ball every contest. Players were hanging out the back of the pack waiting for the free ball to come out. I think a lot of our issues come from this. When we don't commit too many to the contest and allow outside players to get the ball in space they create. Having Kennedy and Parker play the way they did on the inside makes it so much easier.

Loved seeing Blakey burst through from midfield. His field kicking is wasted if he isn't playing on the wing. Still tries a bit too much razzle dazzle but I don't mind him playing with confidence.

I thought the ref's tried hard to get them back in it in the last quarter.

We look so much more dangerous when attacking with speed. Florent, Blakey, Rowbottom, even Taylor at times breaking with speed through the middle. I must admit that I really enjoyed the effort Taylor put in, he's got good acceleration and if he gets in better shape during the off season he could be a decent signing. Jury is still out though.

Mcinerney was awesome. Great second and third efforts, great pressure, good goals, exemplary work rate. This kid looks the goods!

great work by the boys

if l.taylor gets fit over the preseason, in a few years time we might be talking about another bargain success story

if mcinerney and clarke keep improving, i have doubts about last years draft selection for stephens...

fox going to be next rampe? completely beat his opponent (weideman?)

next week, in: mills and out: aliir

That's what he does. Beats or nullifies his opponent. But the next Rampe ? When he is playing on their best forward and dashing out of defence hitting targets lace out he may be a just hold a candle to him. I doubt it though. He is very solid though so all good.

I am glad you didn't.

His game is built on second and third efforts and right now he does not seem to have much to give in that regard. He is also getting bodied out of the contest more and more with every week. I really don't think it's that controversial to suggest that a 19 year old who has played fully inside most of the year before his time might need a break.

I maintain Stephens would've been more effective in this game, particularly in the first half with all the time and space he could've worked with... for once!

Shows how many players in the VFL are good enough if given a chance

Good to have a win, focus on the first two quarters where the win was set up and the third where we really locked it in. Not such an advocate of "...but look at how bad Melbourne were...etc etc etc...." you need to judge this on the efforts provided by our guys, couldn't give a toss about Melbourne or how they performed. Looking at McCartins face says to me you needed to put your head over the ball still.

Hats off to Clarke, played strong, put it on the line a few times , kicked well and created a bit of play also.
McInerney did the Knights proud with that performance. He may just have had his breakout game only 7 games into his career.
Taylor (I would like to be as fat as him) was good, and has some speed as well. Liked his endeavour tonight
McLean just about best 22 now
Blakey getting better playing more mid
Sinkers another honest and strong performance
JPK good but definitely has some questions to think about going forward with the quick ball movement
Parker strong - he competes and takes opposition focus, leads well and a couple of goals to boot.
Cuningham/Fox/Wicks/Florent all good as well

One thing that stood out was the lack of accountability a couple of times when a shot should of been taken. Reckon Florent could of bit the bullet once or twice and a few others as well. Maybe that will come? Did also look like we were outnumbered at the ball for much of the game?

Allir OK, sometimes looks a little reluctant to create havoc or go for the ball?

Great to see us get some outcomes for 2021 this season, the next few games again will do a lot for next year. Results not important in the context of the ladder, but learning to win is real important and glad we did it tonight, particularly with how we treated the third quarter. Hopefully we can continue to work with the ball under pressure and improve our fumbly attack on the ball at times.

Anyhow, really enjoyed that win. Go Bloods.

Imagine Melbourne tho fu** me fighting for a finals position and they dish that up, they had a far superior list on paper tonight but we wanted it more.

Credit to our bottom 6 players oh and Sinclair again.
Should see twitter it's outstanding

Good on you , it's about really enjoying the wins

Maybe people look at Florent's draft position but **** he cops some flack. He was ok tonight outside still struggling with that disposal. One thing he does not lack is courage. Courage to put his body between man and ball and courage to run up and down working his arse off. People should watch him alot closer imo.

I was an absolute ass to you a few weeks ago. I don't agree with you but I don't need to be a dick about it. I appreciate your view with a bit more thought (Still don't agree ha)

Water off a duck's back as far as I'm concerned! All part of the emotion of the gameday threads

Young fella should never been dropped

Mccartin is a chb imo

Fox most improved

Clarke deserves credit tonight

Florent not enough again imo
Clarke always deserves credit because he has a crack & is tough as nails. Mught not get things right all the time but he will be important whilst we are setting ourselves up these next few years be it as part of the senior team when called upon or as backup. The guy gets hit hard but gets up.
Melbourne pkayers got hit & needed to go down to the rooms.
