Really enjoyed the game, the young guys are learning to work together and not just chase kicks as was happening at the start of the year. Strong work rate, great plan into and against the wind. Melbourne fell apart very quickly due to the pressure and us constantly trying to move the ball quickly all night. We are on the right track. Win made better by getting the Swans to win @ $3.80

GWS game our highest potential?
Hawks/Dees/Adelaide games where our performance is at?

a good year imo so far considering where we are at, injuries etc , overall a step in the right direction

but who knows whats next, we have a lot of potential, maybe some are traded to fill other needs, maybe some dont make it, maybe a guy like gould ends up the best

So are we an attractive team still for Joe?

we arent going to inject him with mystery substances, wasnt that the main attraction

Depends how long he thinks he can play for. If he only has 2-3 years in him then no. 6-7? For sure

good win, poor timeslot

j mac should have played more in 2020 rather than others who get a go

dees pathetic. but our pressure and team defence won it
I actually think it was our ability to break the lines and attack that really won the game. Team defense is only one part of the game and when we gave the ball up we were very good at attacking the player to get the ball back. Which is proactive not reactive footy.

But what killed them was our ability to run the ball quickly with direct and strategic delivery. It was wonderful to watch. So stop the shit that defensive footy won't he game. It didn't. The ability to be proactive and strategically direct and beautiful disposal won that game.

That 3rd term against Port is one of the goals of how we should be aiming to play consistently in games

yeah that third quarter where we defended like crazy had nothing to do with winning

I think it's fair to want to be recognised for our attacking intent. We wouldn't have won for the 5 second quarter.
But you are right

absolutely, good all round footy

I thought our second half was more impressive.

The first half it was easy to say wow look at how attacking we were, but Melbourne were traffic cones at a training drill. Second half their structures tightened up a bit and they brought a lot more pressure giving us less time and space to work, which challenged our attacking plays and our endeavour, and forced us to persevere with it to break through Melbourne's defensive efforts.

It wasn't as pretty but IMO the second half instilled more faith in the game plan and the way we're playing than the dominant first half. Gave us a better idea of how we'll have to use our attacking game plan if in a tighter contest.

And we lost the 2nd half 3.5 to 4.6
