Edwards was very good tnite kicked a few and set a couple of goals up as well..need to get our forward line organised tho bombed it in way to much need a few more good player in there especially those who can take a contested mark..get this right and we are on our way to sucess..

Cotch, BOG thats all we need to know, Watson ordinary, Lids... please dont take the votes.
Won quite a few frees which says to me that the umpires noticed him.

Good to see that we finally have a player like that for a change.:thumbsu:

I will watch the replay in the morning but from being in at the game, I thought batch was poor, mcgoof is still a spud, Astbury got lucky with his mark and goal but generally did diddly, nahas just was not there, still don't see the appeal of hellbig,

All the rest earns there keep.

i thought Batch was pretty good in his first game back for a while, Astbury used his body well on that mark i wouldn't call it luck, but it just getting back into it so i'll give him a chance, Mcguane did his job which is kicking a couple of goals and prividing a contest and taking the ball to ground.

We look much more dangerous kicking to the Cotch/Dusty types one on one, than kicking to packs, having the ball spill and then run out by the opposition. Can't see how Jack/Vicks/Astbury and then others can all fit into the same F50 with Lids and co. rotating through there. I realise it's about balance, but I hope this is something we get right from the get go next year, instead of trying to figure it out 10 weeks in.

Thought Batch did a very good job, his 1%'ers will be up there tonight

Yes really need to get our forward line sorted..midfield and backline are pretty good..

You do realize Bathelor blanketed Hurley right??

Did such a good job on him that Hurley had to be sent into defense to play on Astbury.

Dear Mods, maybe we should change the name of this thread...An "autopsy" alludes to "negativity" and "the end"...We should all be positive, because our Richmond are at the start of something big, and they are certainly not dead...We smashed a team that is a bit of a bogey for us...The backs were solid, the mids were dominant, and the forwards spread of goals was great...Sure we kicked a few behinds, but throw in the wind and youthful exuberance and pure excitement that it really was party time, and you get that...
We kicked their behinds, that's what matters...Bring on Port, and enjoy the win guys...Cheers

Batchelor looked shit on telly too. I like him but the gap between his best & worst atm is still yawning to say the least.
McGoof is, was and always will be arse. Second luckiest bloke to be still on an AFL list after Dufus Graham. List clogger extroadinaire.

Bit harsh on Astbury's first game back in the seniors. Wasn't a liability at least.

No left foot Nahas ran hard all night but jeez sick of the comical game of primary school playground chasings that ensues nearly everytime he gets it in or near the forward 50.

Still firmly on the fence with Helbig, liked his game last week despite that one brainfade on the mark, but I honestly can't even remember hearing his name being called even once tonight.

.
I just laughed at how many times Nahas tried to lay a tackle and they just stepped over him like he wasn't there

I had $20 on Deledio to get most posessions, but Tuck equalled his count with the last disposal... If Tuck and Deledio both got the highest possessions does that mean I win or lose the bet?

Positives:
- Our gameplan was on tonight, the run and carry through the middle opened the Bombers up a treat, shame that we couldn't convert on the scoreboard though.
- Was really impressed with our young backline tonight. The starting 6 were Rance Post Houli Helbig Morris & Dea and for the most part they worked well as a unit. Was helped a bit by the Bombers being absolutely shitful, but they should all take some real confidence from that.
- The annoying Essendon supporter that sat behind me the whole first quarter screaming Go Bombers everytime they got the ball pissed off half way through the second. If she was my wife I'd fake my own death.
- Despite the Bombers setting up camp in our F50 from quarter time onwards we managed to have 37 scoring shots, would have been nice to kick 24.13 rather than 13.24, but at least it shows that we're working things out.
- Was impressed with Post again, seemed to have taken the confidence gained from last week and stepped up again. Yes he made some errors, but the way he attacked the footy and the man showed that he might just be learning that as a 195cm/95kg KPP its ok to go around a hurt blokes.

Negatives:
- Some of our supporters should be shot, Astbury is playing his first game at this level for 14 months and some of them spent the game bagging him for everything that he did or didn't do. FFS give the guy a chance.
- Our entries into F50 were at times horrible, but that comes with 15-18 opposition players lining up in there. We really need to work on a system where our forwards actually work for each other rather than all competing for the same space.
- The bloody wind chill, sitting on level 2 at the Punt Rd end it was freezing even though I had 3 layers of clothing on, really took the enjoyment out of the game.

Deluded about Batchelor. Was seriously good tonight with a couple of brain fades which is expected after just coming back into the team after an extended absence. Astbury did look underdone however but if we can get a preseason into him he will be better than Post. Helbig is worth persevering with. Nahas I agree with but McQuane did some good things like fly for marks and compete at ground level. If he'd played at CHF instead of Miller this year dare I say it we would be playing finals.
