Rocky, Jack and Pearce may be showing signs of tiredness. The loss is not their fault alone by any means but let's be honest, given it was a two goal game, if their possessions had been at their season's average of 26, 25 and 22 instead of 18, 16 and 17, we probably win. Compare their stats with the mature bodied ones - Black (31), Maguire (24), Hudson (23) and Zorko (23).

I vote we all go to the next Saints game (not a home game for them, we don't want them to profit) and immediately make our presence known any time one of their hacks goes near the ball!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Both will be looked at closely & so they should be. The lack of head contact will just lessen the severity didn't look at the ball & just recklessly cannoned into Riewoldt. If it were our players on the end of these actions this board would be up in arms.

Merrett should have had the hands outstretched, trying to mark - did not disguise 'the bump' at all - hence one can only view it as intentional.
Rich - recklessly dangerous and with intent - it's one they have to scape-goat, it's so clear - will place in next years rules DVD. The potential is if Jones doesn't get his hands up it's head first plus with Jones being so close to the boundary is most likely not expecting the shove.

I'm with you a bit on the BB. I know that we have had some poor decisions against us but all that does is make the tribunal a farce for their lack of consistency. On the Rich incident that happened right in front of me and I was not impressed. To put is bluntly it was bloody dangerous what he did and I hope he learns from this.

On a serious note though, I believe they both got what they deserved. Merrett didn't hide the intention one bit, and with Rich the video makes it look like he meant it, whether he did or not is yet to be known.

However the MRP needs to be consistent from here on out, we get those rulings, so should everyone else.

Heat of the moment, A loss of 2 key players and a Loss in general can make people say/do things that aren't themselves or how they truly think.

I've said some things about the St.Kilda footy club that I personally don't truly mean but in the current predicament of the two teams I feel like I need to vent at times as well.

Had some fun with Plugger35 in the bay as well.

Also just to add that a lot of your supporters calling players like Daniel Rich and Merrett "Dogs" etc doesn't really help us like the saints any more then Collingwood or Carlton.

Pearce Hanley was the victim of an almost identical incident two weeks ago. I didn't ask for a suspension for Tapscott, nor was one given. My crime is expecting consistency.

Rich's shove was not becoming, but at the risk of attracting that Youareparanoid poster, I can't help but feel that a few unsexy interstate teams are seen as the meal of choice for a MRP looking to make a statement, and conversely, seen as an easily ignored stakeholder when (as you said) the shoe is on the other foot.

Conspiracies aside, the inconsistency is genuinely baffling at the least.

Well a win is always enjoyable and a loss always hurts but in general I'd say St Kilda's new game style is more appealing on the eye, we just have to build some consistency because no matter how good you look doing it, losing isn't fun
