Anyone know why it is starting at 10:30am? It has started at 10am for as long as i can remember

Supposedly it's was something to do with 45th Anniversary celebrations
I think the real reason is that ch7 want the race and podium celebrations to finish closer to their 6pm news.

Just totally stupid and dangerous starting the race with the Really Cheap car sitting where it was.Surely they could've delayed the start by a few minutes while the car was removed.

If you were coming ni to the pits anyway why wouldnt you go to wet tyres? Bright, FPR I'm looking at you.

If Steven Johnson takes out Lowndes he is dead-set the biggest dropkick in V8s. Hope at least one of them wins though, if not Courtney.

Blue Oval domination of the Mountain.... YOU LITTLE RIPPER !!!!!

a slow builder that one.

sat there all afternoon, thinking it was a pretty lacklustre race, but assuming that something was about to happen (it is Bathurst, after all). then those last 10-12 laps were simply phenomenal - clean, fair, brilliant racing.

as for Toll HSV... well, karma's funny like that.

FORD 1 2 3 HOLDEN CRY ME A RIVER:thumbsu:

Who's crying?

and I think you'll find a river up the top of the mountain :p

Well done to the Ford dudes, drove exceptionally well, even though I was sure Junior Johnno was going to punt someone off :D

Wow, but what a race. Bathurst, it never, ever fails to disappoint. That's a motor race, F1 take note :thumbsu:

Brighty...why didn't he whack the wets on? I'm not sure what advantage he was going to get out of the cold slicks. A stupid decision that was always going to end that way.

Must've been a real scary ride for the HSV lads coming down into the chase. Reminded me a bit of Ambrose a few years ago, where his tyre blew at least half a dozen times coming into the Chase. No brakes at 300 clicks........ Pass :p

Poor Frosty and Richo. They were outstanding all weekend and certainly didn't deserve that.

A result that was excellent in terms of making the championship race even more interesting.

Off to the GC in a couple of weeks :thumbsu:

Scary stuff in that BOC car too.

Feel for Frosty and Richo, they were the dominant team all weekend, unfortunately it all went pear shaped at the worst possible time.

Well done to 888, SBR and DJR though. :thumbsu:

Stick that up your pipe and smoke it Holden fans. ;)

What a race, not as good as last year, but very exciting ending.

In those conditions at the end Lowndes was always gonna bring it home, he is the master when it gets a bit slippery... Whincup should buy him a few drinks after his little excursion into the sand.

Tander's title hopes once again hindered by the indurance races, only consolation is that Rick didn't benefit.

The dream team of Morris / Ellery (aka V8 Stooges) didn't fail to disappoint... multiple offs, three drive through penalties, and cause of the safety car that lead to the exciting finish. Another fine day's work :thumbsu:.

Bright may well have thrown away victory by not putting wets on at his final stop. Cold slicks were always going to lead to a concrete related end... what was he / team thinking?

Team BOC would be counting the cost... one car totally destroyed and another incinerated. Ouch.

I laughed :thumbsu: :D

:D

This guy is more suited to demolition derby than V8 racing... the Ralf Schuntmaster of Australia motorsport... and driving with Paul Morris

Seriously, ever year all they do is spin, crash and basically create havoc for everyone - they get thier car on TV so the sponsors must love it! At least they are entertaining! :p

:D So very true! At least they are entertaining and their sponsors get TV time! Smart strategy if you ask me!
