I take it your referring to the provisional announcement made last week about the new teams and the draft? Mate...trust me won't happen...unless the AFL really want a SuperLeague style war with the established clubs....probably led by Fast Eddie himself in an unholy alliance with Tricky Dicky Pratt, the Swanettes and Far North Fitzroy....![]()
Yeah, it was the leagues negotiating position, not the final decision, but the fact remains the league will want to ensure they're competitive reasonably quickly for PR and team/crowd building reasons....Of course that means established players, not 'just' draft picks.
What worries me more is the plan to have West Sydney in the following year, which will mean 2 sets of 'extra' picks (etc) running at the same time. THAT could be truely nasty.
