I think you need to stop your childish personal attacks HBP. Growing a bit tiresome. The 'guessing' is being done by everyone else -including yourself??????? - ah...no, I'm not 'guessing' anything.
Your comprehension skills - were they ok at school? Monkey clearly knows something or someone. Unless Monkey is on the committee at BT (which he isn't), he knows nothing about the procedures, time frames or characteristics the coaching selection panel is looking for. Even if he knows 1 of the candidates being interviewed, he still knows nothing (or next to nothing!) because there are at least 6 other candidates, each bringing different attributes to the table. They all are excellent candidates for a D1 club.

As i said before, the process has only just begun, and no decisions have been made.

Likewise, I have a very good idea who you are interviewing. See above

Reds 2008 Senior coach has just been appointed.

James Taylor - ex. Stk/Coll rookie/supp, 10+ snr player with Montmorency.

Impressed the interview panel immensely, and we look forward to working together immediately to get the club back on the right track.

That's all I know (not surprisingly, I wasn't involved in the selection process!!;))

Will he be a playing coach?

Gee wizz man, take a pill. So people on this open, very public forum are speculating who your new coach may be. What a crime. Ever stop to think that maybe no one is interested in the "procedures, time frames or characteristics the selection panel is looking for"??? We just wanna know who gets the gig.

The glass is actually half full - at least people are interested in your backwards bogan club- don't take it as a threat to your masculinity champ. Everyone here has some form of intrest in D1 - thats why we are here!!!! Tool.

And for the record, I raised the issue of the likley defection of your previous coach to Lalor before you even knew about it. Your precious little committee didn't help you prevent that one.

Well done Reds!
James is a fine appointment.
As mentoined by me on here a week ago, that one of the key candidates was a monty man!

I wonder if he will bring any players with him?

Wouldn't think so unless they are at the end of their careers. Hard to give up cash then go to ammos.

Ok here goes. Predictions for 2007. First a bit of background. I have been O/S for a year so I am at a bit of a disadvantage. I have kept in touch with scores, ladders, results, etc. The one advantage I do have is that I am not attached to any of the D Grade clubs. I simply have a close affiliatin with amateur football.

1- Old Paradians- I know to much about their history to think that they will simply lay down and die. Judging by this site there have been so many rumours re Parade players so I am not sure what is correct and what is not. I do know that they have made some subtantial gains off the field with some soon to be announced major sponsors and I also believe they had an emergency meeting with past players that has led to some excellent off field success. The road trip to Bundoora is also a tough assignment. Dont know much about their on field but simply to good a club not to respond to the challenge.

2-Old Geelong- Seem to be a team on the up and I have a feeling that Old Geelong will be able to work their way through the Grades over the next five years. If they have maintained their current playing list and can add one or two recruits then they should see September action.

3- Therry Penola- Were probably only about 4 goals away from figuring heavily in the finals last year. Losing so many close ones really hurt them. If they get a few players back and some youth for depth then they can be prominent in 2007. I have heard nothing about their recruiting or player retention but one thing is for sure is that they will always give a good honest account of themselves. Surely luck must go with them in the close ones this year.

4- Bulleen Temp- A year of what could have been in 2006. I think a previous poster stated that they beat every team in 2006 and only missed
finals in the last round. A bit more consistency throughout matches and the addition of one or two players should see them play finals. Should be right in it come September. Another team that will always give a good honest account.

5- Hampton Rovers- Not sure what to make of Hampton. They seem to have every thing right but are not getting the success. They get good crowds, have bumper luncheons, have a strong junior comp but are in D Grade. It doesn't seem to match. I have simply put them in the middle because I have no idea how they will respond. I will sit on the fence with Hampton as they could finish anywhere from first to 8th.

6- Prahan- Don't know a lot about them but everyone else seems to rate them quiet highly so I will keep them in the mix.

7- I think Oakleigh will carry momentum from last year and start extremely well. They may struggle as the season progresses and will be in the mix from 4th-8th

8- Yarra- Will be in the mix from 4th-8th. I think this year will be extremely close and they could give the finals a nudge. Have heard nothing about what they have done over summer.

9- Old Mentonians- Will be right in the relegation mix

10- Peninsula- Will try everything to survive but may struggle to make the grade

I look forward to seeing others predictions. Good luck to all and have a great Ammo season

Let's hope your latest offerings are a little more accurate than this gem from last year predicting Parade to finish first and Oakleigh 4-8!
