CU - we hope so. Word is that Wise and Chivers are dominating up there. Will be a tough ask for them to play 60 odd games straight but both are super fit blokes.

Wise is going to be playing at Mitcham next year, heard Burridge was gone too. As for Chivers, I heard retirement was his plan, three seasons in a row would be a pretty good effort for a bloke who was running on the smell of an oily rag towards the end of BT's season. We've heard a bit about the teams coming down, does anyone know much about Oakleigh or Peninsula?

Therry Penola
Old Geelong
Yarra Valley
Oakleigh
Hampton Park
Bulleen Templestowe
Peninsula
Old Paradians
Prahran
Old Mentonians

Wise will most likely stay, Burridge is not going anywhere, and chivers can't wait to play for the ants again next season.
Also Waters will be a full time bullant with no VFL commitments, and a few young bullants out of the 19's from this year should see them contesting a top 2 spot.

Wise is down on the EFL website as a signed Mitcham player- cant remember if this was official or just forum

Oakleigh thumped Peninsula by 10 goals and 15 goals in the finals after Pens won both home and away fixtures. Oakleigh have young list with only a couple of players retiring while Peninsula will have pretty much same team again as no U19s and little coming out of school side. Looked slow and old in finals

Would be surprised if Pens did not get relegated. Oakleigh are aiming for another GF and with 6 ready made senior players coming out of this years U19s should be well placed.

Ladder will be something like this

Oakleigh
Hampton Rovers
Bulleen Templestowe
Therry Penola
Old Geelong
Yarra Valley
Old Paradians
Prahran
Old Mentonians
Peninsula

Hampton Rovers vs Oakleigh is the match of the round to start us off in 07 ; cant wait

Bad News, just heard on the grapevine from a source where Porteous works that he came in to work on Thursday with his arm in a full cast. Apparently broke it falling off his bike. Broken in 4 places.

Looks like his season is done for, don't think he'll play. Bad luck for Parade.

I wouldn't count OP's out. The fact is NO-ONE will know how they will play this year as majority of the team will be 19's from last year. They have had talented 19's for the past 4 years and a successful coach who has taken over this year. Not sure of his name. Wouldn't count them out.

Mad Am.

Suggest you check out where all those supposed talented u19s are now. most are certainly not at the Garvey Oval.

Parade have kept all but two of last years under 19s. They have had huge numbers on the track. The former 19s coach who now has the seniors, not sure of his name either, has an enormous player network.

Porteous seen riding his bike through South Morang yesterday. No cast on arm.

Will the VAFA Season commence on time? Many teams are training indoors due to drought restrictions. Word out of headquarters is that the comp may be in a bit of strife.

having been a member of parade its hard to believe that a once successful club in the higher grades has dropped down to D1. you look at the other school boys sides who are in A and B grade they recruit juniors through there school where they r bred as old boys. knowingly that old paradians dont play any under 19s who would be certainly good enough to play in the seniors but keep them in the under 19s ranks where it is still good football but not going to develop as much as seniors playing agaisnt bigger bodies etc.
this is there faults i believe by not gettin kids from the school who lsat year made it to the semis of the Herald Shield with 9 players unavalible. And also to the fact that they dont give the under 19s ago in the seniors, whereas sides like Old Camberwell and Old trinity do.

what do others think?

His name is Mark Spinoso.
Yes, has a large player network and should do very well for Parade. respect the bloke alot, i played with him in the under 19s lastyear, but decided to move onto another club.
all the best for parade this year.

And there lies their problem, their better Under 19's move onto other Clubs to play senior football and get some pocket money especially the kids who are at Uni etc.

my sources tell me that the bullants might be in a bit of strife coming into this season.. wise will be moving to mitcham with stella.. waters is thinking of moving to the dvfl for coin and a few more boys have shown interest in other clubs.. chivers will DEFINATELY be playing this season for the bullants and reckons his body is "better than ever" and is feeling fresh..
although there is however, a possibility that the BT boys playing up in the NT are bringing back some exceptional talent to the bullants next year..
Easton will be back at the bullants again next year taking the coaching position and there was even talks of him pulling the boots back on and sitting at full forward.. good luck to the full back playing on him!!

Cant work out what you are saying here. A few positives, a few negatives. They have some good kids coming through. Easton will not be playing. Along with OGS will be the team to beat.

Explain why you think this way about the bullants for 2007, what have you got to back up your theory?

Hello,
Bit early for tips i would've thought.
Personal highlight in the off season was:
Bono, the Edge and Pearl Jam doing Rockin in the Free World at the Music Bowl....superb

The lowlight in music is Brett Lee, what a tool

Old Geelong
Hampton
Oakleigh
Prahran
Old Parrade
Yarra
Bulleen
Peninsula
Old Mentonians
Therry Penola
