I think the word you were looking for is "defence".
someone as expereinced and intimidating as yourself should know that( or is it "no that"?)

Keep posting after you said you wouldn't.

You have issues! Are you from the USA?

Do you say the T in often?

I think you are up to about 7 posts since your proclaimation of " no futher posts"

Keep em coming cretin.

Does anyone have any news on the fixture? Seems like the fixture on the vafa website is out of whack. Wasn't the the new fixture to begin at the the original round 3?

Also, what's the go with Hampton? Nothing said about them at all on this site. Usually a tough trip down to their ground... New coach, have they got any new cattle?

OP's praccy match this weekend might sort out some of the crap on this thread.

My understanding is April 28th = Round 3 (as it would have been if the season hadn't been delayed)

All rounds up to Queen's birthday weekend will be played as normal.

Queen's birthday weekend is no longer a weekend off, teams will be playing their round 2 matches that week.

Games up until the last week of the season will be played as normal. The season will finish a week later, with the original Round 1 fixtures, now being Round 18. Hopefully this is all correct and makes sense.

The Thinker and overtheline: Go away. Leave us alone. Our indifference is absolute. Start your own "my dad is bigger than your dad" thread or something and leave us in peace. And if someone could delete the last two pages of absolute cr*p so I never have to see them again, that would be just dandy. The fact that the best thread of 2006 has degenerated into this garbage makes us regular contributors from last year sick.

Over,

You sound like a bitter fat kid who never got picked in a team...

Stop your whingeing already. There are specialised chat rooms for people like you with nothing better to do. Get a life!!!

Agree with rambo and MC can someone please get these two rodents off our thread. It is beyond a joke when you have two read through 15 crap posts until you get to a decent and informative one. No one else on here cares about the crap you are talking so take it somewhere else!

I agree with all of you. It is rubbish but I am sick of overtheline and users like that who sling falsehoods about a club when they know nothing about it. Overtheline has spent the majority of his posts slinging off at Old Paradians. I love Old Paradians and I have done so for the best part of 20 years. I hate seeing rubbish spread about it and about life members of the club such as Dale. I am simply standing up for the club I love. At least I have been man enough to say I realise I am posting trash but it is simply in response to those who feel they can sit behind a computer and slag off and not have someone respond to them. Sorry to those who have had to put up with this, but I will never, ever, see the club I love run into the ground by faceless cowards.

Very much so ugly!
My spies tell me that if you are who everyone is telling me you are, that the boots are going to be pulled on again this year, although no sign of you down on the track according to the local boys down at ajani.
You might be able to shed some light on how the BT will go after all the chatter over the last month. I have tipped them to be on the slide, what you think, any worries down there.

Casboult has left OG and it is a massive loss. Who is this gun CHF?

Is there going to be a tipping comp for D1 like on other ammo sites?

Not sure who you think I am Kiwi but I am pulling on the boots again. Trained tonight under temporary lights on the back oval at Bulleen (Never seen anything like before in my life) and can report some very positive things about the Bullants. 2 loses in senior personal from last season (both very god players in Wise and Stella) but the inclusion of 2004 premiership centreman Clark (tough as nails), Waters for the full season after year at Port Melb and a handful of other 19-22 year olds that can play abit. My biased prediction would have us 4-6 goals better than last season - which would hopefully be enough to see us win more games than we lose - we will all find out soon enough....

Cheers Ugly

I am almost in tears reading that! I am happy to call a truce but the faceles coward i have been duelling with, needs to have a good look at himself.
I like the way i am faceless and a coward but he is not? I must have missed where he identified himself.
Anyway, go reds!!!
Double drop for Parade.
I am assuming i am allowed to have an opinion without being accused of running down their club?

Hey 3rd man, the fixture has definitely changed again. Apparently this is because VAFA needed to reconfigure matches for ground availability. This change is different to one already made following the season delay.

I was with you and realised when just looking at the website. Would have been nice to have been notified!

Looking forward to playing the Krushers this year. Had some good battles against their unders in previous years and i hear a fair few are playing senior footy this year, is this true? If so they'll be a strong side and hard to beat at home. All the best Krusher :thumbsu:

OPs tackling Rupo at their ground this Satday.

Are OPs playing at the Garvey? Surely this cant be happening, I drove past their ground the other day it looked terrible. No way they could allow a game to be played on Garvey Oval at the moment.

Bullants will be ok in 2007 - The club prides itself on always providing a hard and honest contest. Good to hear Clarkey is back!!U19s won a premiership last year and some good kids coming through. The ground is a concern though....

Would expect Parade to be ok too. Strong club with a solid history. With improvements expected from Mentone and Prahran; and the arrival of Hampton, D1 could be the most even grade in the VAFA this year. OGS will be strong and Yarra should be there abouts..

And Fred F, most here would agree that Conduct can be inflamatory at times but he has been a solid contributor to this thread for some considerable time. Would encourage you to get some points on the board before you start directing traffic.;)

ops will be travelling out to sunbury to play rupertswood where the ground is sensational, relaid, air rated and with recycled water, has never looked better, the game should give both clubs some indication as to where they are at with the season being only a couple of weeks away.

This thread has dropped off alot from last year.

Spencer is interested in C Grade and seeing that I am trying to get some thoughts/comments on Carey/Rupo from 2006 have being checking this thread . . . I merely commented on the issue that you and Over were going crazy . . . I am suggesting get on with it

I have no problem at all with Parade myself - good luck to them

if you're looking for last year's posts they are in the old thread.
this thread was started for 2007 discussion & I almost wish I hadn't bothered.
can't wait for the footy to start so we can get a reasonable discussion going again instead of this 'you said, he said' crap we currently have.
no offence guys but FFS get a grip.

Here, here.

Ugly - were Hare & Barker not a senior players? Where is Joey Barker playing this year?

Funnily enough, if I remember rightly, you made this new thread to get away from the crap we just saw in this one. Ironic.

In the interests of returning this thread to proper discussion, here's my (very shaky) stab at the likely fortunes of the teams in 2007.

Finals bound - OMs, OGGs & YV

Maybe, maybe not - BT, OP, Prahran, Hampton.

Battling - Therry, Oakleigh, Peninsula.

Basically, expecting improvement from OMs and Prahran, whilst the newly promoted sides may struggle to consolidate.

OK people - have a crack!!!

Cant agree at all. Oakleigh and Peninsula will be forces in D1 as were Rupo and OG in 2006. Clubs on the rise are far more dangerous than clubs falling.

scribe,
With you on a few . Om's and prahran to play off for mine, wiht the oggs and yv right behind them

I would put parade in the struggling group, as has been pointed out, relegated teams to D1 don't have a great recent record(refer banyule, therry, St leos, GLen Eira, Ivanhoe etc etc). Many just continue to slide.

Oms-new coach( after 5 years!), young side, won unders and ressies last year...get on!!
